Jonas's Aunt

Jonas has said that the house he has taken Bree and Daniel to is his aunt's house. I'd like to get other's input on this revelation by Jonas, who, up until now, has all but said he has no family.

If you have a theory, I'd love to hear it.

EDIT: Spelling

I believe that Jonas' "aunt" is someone who is like a family friend... maybe someone who helped out his parents when they were investigating the Order. Maybe this is another member of that group that it seems his parents were a part of. I don't believe its a blood relative. Jonas was raised by a nanny, why wouldn't he have lived with a relative after his parents disappeared?

I also have another theory that this house is a safe house for the Anti-Order, but Jonas doens't want to say that on camera.

i think this is most likely...

Yep I agree with the above too. I think we can at least assume that Jonas's aunt is an important figure. I'm betting she's working against the order, but I guess we'll have to wait and see.

I believe Jonas that he has good intentions and that his aunt is his aunt, or so he has been told, at least.

However, I am curious as to why his aunt has his parents' financial records and how those records will move the story along.
Also, his aunt could turn out to be important but I don't think Jonas is purposely driving them to Oppy's house and breaking in. lol.

his aunt is someone who he was probably told to call 'aunt'...but most likely is not actually his blood related aunt..

Jonas was basically being raised by his nanny, even when his parents were alive -- he's said a few times that his parents were always away at sea or traveling.

Obviously his aunt travels as well. Perhaps she thought it best that he just stayed with the person he was comfortable with in his own home. Maybe she just didn't have the time or inclination to have a kid.

When kids lose their parents, they often go live with close relatives... But he didn't.
Just a thought

Either that, or she isn't blood related.

I think below are the possible theories:

1) Not Blood Related
-Jonas' "aunt" really isn't his Aunt, that explains why Jonas was raised by his nanny instead of being raised by her.
a) She could be a lawyer or accountant
-This could mean that she isn't part of the order, but is a close friend of his family.

2) Is Blood Related
-Jonas' "aunt" could be his mothers sister...meaning that if Jonas' parents disappeared like Bree's did, his mother was involved in the order just as Bree's was and therefore Jonas' Aunt is evil as well as he is.
-Jonas' Aunt is not evil, but she didn't want the responsibility of raising a kid.

Questions to be answered about Jonas' "Aunt"
Does she have any children?
Why did she leave her door unlocked?
Why is she traveling so much?
Does she see Jonas regularly or keep in touch?
Is she part of the Order or is she Anti Order?

Most do, but we are talking about a financially dependent youngster who's nanny was probably as much of a parent to him as his parents were.

Heavens, maybe his "aunt" is the nanny!

Another possible theory that would lead into why he was so comfortable going inside her home.

I know some people who call their Grandma "nanny"..so it could be so this way too.

Aunt could be very close in age to Jonas. While explaining why he wasn't raised by her, it raises the question of who raised the aunt and why didn't he join that home. Just talked myself into believing aunt = honorary title. Reaching back to TV-land, perhaps she's his father/mother's faithful secretary from their order research days.

It's spelled like nanny, but the way my family always said it was nOn-ee. I was told it was something italians called their grandmothers, but my parents could be very wrong since we are not italian (one part of my family is).
