What should I do?

Soooo....the past few days my boyfriend/fiance has been all upset. Money is REALLY tight right now, and has been for a while...he feels bad about that and that he can't get approved to buy a 'new' car...I keep trying things to cheer him up, but it just doesn't work.

Any ideas? Like special *cheap* things I can do for him or something else I should say?

I know those times and the mood, too. Only thing that ever helped was thinking that when our parents were starting off, they had it a lot worse that us. I dunno what to tell ya but it will get better.

I already told ya.... Kick 'em.

Ok. sooooooorry.

Seriously BA I don't know what to tell you. In the party thread it already sounded like you were going out of your way to cheer him up. If you are happy together and working together to get things in order, to me it feels like he would just have to perk up eventually ya know? "Look at the bright side" and all that Jazz.

It's a thing. and I would think security would be the most important. Knowing that your basics are taken care off and that there is someone to support you. Of course it is natural to want more and to mope around for a little while. But if it's something that can't be solved at the moment.... he should come around eventually.

If ya love him, and stay sane while he mopes, then just keep doin what you have been doing, supporting him and trying to cheer him up, he'll realize how lucky he laready is just to have that!

(whew.... sorry for the rant.)

Edit: because my rant need clearification!

have you tried meeting him at the door wearing nothing and holding the remote in one hand and a beer in the other?

It's actually true. Sexy sex is a great cheap gift.

I think I've been with my husband for too long...when he gets into a funk, now, Ijust avoid him, lol. He does like the cheap slutty sexy gifts, though. Wait, did I say...

Seriously. You don't even need to get all dolled up. Just throw on one of his button down shirts and nothing else and act all seductive. That's how I've gotten out of buying him something for Valentine's Day for the past 6 years. 8)
