Well, Aleister's Crowley has been an influence for the "religion", etc, but the Creators are not going to pin the Order on a specific religion nor are they going to design the ceremony after a specific rite. It would offend too many people.

And even creepierer since she divorced him for cheating and ended up in the loony bin. even creepiererer because, IIRC, she remarried after crowley and took her new husbands name.
