That's just one of many, many stories covering the "terror scare" in Boston today. I don't know how many of you watch Adult Swim on Cartoon Network and know the show Aqua Teen Hunger Force, (ATHF), but apparently, a marketing campaign for their upcoming movie was mistaken for a bomb threat.

Now, while I don't find the fact that traffic got held up, and this required a lot of police and bomb squad people to focus all their efforts in a condensed area, I think that the fact that things that essentially resembled Lite Brites were mistaken for bombs hysterical.

The best part about all the news coverage of this story is that the only light panel they didn't destroy was Igknigknot, a Mooninite, who is flipping the bird and they're showing it all over TV and most stations aren't censoring it.

I don't think the people of Boston are ever going to live this down. :smt044

hahaha!

man, they make ATHF sound so unbelievably rediculous in that article. "a surreal series about a talking milkshake, a box of fries and a meatball."

THATS quality entertainment for ya

In the news, they said that the characters were just a broad analogy for the foods that stoners eat. That may or may not be true, but I love how they're trying to give a cartoon they probably don't watch or understand a bad name.

One newscast referred to all the characters as Mooninites, haha.

My boyfriend wants to make a T-shirt with a picture of Igknigknot on it with the words "Watch out! I might be a bomb!" underneath the picture.

I'm hoping Boston gets a mention on an Adult Swim bump because of this.

Definitely! They're a snarky bunch over there, so I'm counting on them to encourage a bump for the city of Boston.

You want to know how frigging moronic Bostonians are? These devices have been in place for two to three weeks in ten cities: Boston; New York; Los Angeles; Chicago; Atlanta; Seattle; Portland, Ore.; Austin, Texas; San Francisco; and Philadelphia. Now the governor of Massachussetts, to cover up the embarrassment of looking like a complete drooling idiot with the city's overreacting, says "It's a hoax - and it's not funny". Whatever, Gov. Patrick. We didn't see this kind of paranoia take hold of those nine other cities, and one of those nine was New York!

Well, now they are charging the 2 guys that put the things up. They showed footage of them going to court in police cars this morning.
