I took some pics while on my trip to the drop. Clear Lake is a lake that I drove next to for a good portion of the trip. On the way back, the sun was setting so I had to take some pictures. Thought I'd post them here, because I think they look nice. Plus, I wanted all to see what I eat while on these drops :)

THE WIND BENEATH MY WINGS (Bette Midler)

It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way,
you always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name -- for so long,
a beautiful smile to hide the pain.

CHORUS:
Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and ev'rything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it,
I would be nothing with out you.

(CHORUS)

Fly, fly, fly away,
you let me fly so high.
Oh, fly, fly,
so high against the sky, so high I almost touch the sky.
Thank you, thank you, thank God for you,
the wind beneath my wings.

it pretty much sums up how much i love you today.

It's freezing here and we have about 5 inches of snow on the ground.

Thanks for the pics Lad.

Way to rub it in you California %$#@!!

Just Kidding!
They are absolutely beautiful and remind me of going up to the cottage in the summer when I was a kid. Some of my best childhood memories, so thank you for taking me back.

*Looks outside her own window at the grey sky and snow. Turns to hungrily drink in the warm sunlight from the lake pics* Beautiful! Thank you so much for posting them! I love the humongous energy drink, by the way.

And in relating this to the plotline, it does seem v. likely that Jonas's dad would have sailed around there before he dissapeared.

The pictures were lovely, Lad, but next time you go on a drop, I'M packing your lunch. Not only is all of that food made out of industrial waste, they couldn't even spell "wings." Honestly.

The best part of that meal is that I could eat it with one hand, while driving the winding roads on the way back from Ukiah :)

The lunch is perfect for a road trip. It's tradition to ingest 'industrial waste' while driving!
