Movie Mention = Code?

My theory:

Whenever a movie title has been mentioned since the "CUSOON" puzzle, it has been an indicator as to whether the content of the video is true or false.

In the video Daniel's A Liar, Bree mentions a comedy, The Bad News Bears. This indicates that the content of this video is false.

Contrarily, in the video Kicked Out, Jonas mentions the movie Rocky, a drama. This indicates that the content of this video is true.

Am I just crazy again? This seems to fit for the other videos that have mentioned titles, IMO.

Hmmm, you could be on to something. It certainly seems that the movie titles are there for a reason...

I was thinking perhaps all the mentions of movies is due to the fact that kids today are inundated with media influences and so many movies are available to them through so many easy, cheap (or free) channels such as DVD, Cable/Satellite TV, etc and that since they live in Los Angeles where the movie industry is "THE" industry that perhaps they are just normal kids who are slightly out of touch with reality and frequently escape into movies to the point where it influences their outlooks on life?

I know that sounds really stupid and "out there", but maybe, just maybe...

I really don't understand how that works or makes sense. Multiple word movies = false, one word = true? Hah.
I mean seriously, Jonas needed something to do while out of the house. Meanwhile, we know he's a Boxer and has had a picture of Rocky on his myspace for a long time now, maybe even since the beginning. It only made SENSE for him to go see RB. I see no reason to look into this like that.

I think apotheosis meant that comedy meant the contents of the video were true, and that drama meant they weren't. Interesting theory, but I would like to see more instances of it.....

I bet similar correlations could be found between things like if the word the is used more than 15 times in a video, what was said is true, less is false. I mean like totally random things like this with no basis in reality are pretty easy to come up with. Why they'd ever actually be true makes no sense though.

That's absolutely true. However, I just thought it was odd that these movies seem to keep popping up. They do. And lies have been told. So, while your suggesting that the concept is a random one, it isn't.

Now, if I had posted something like "on Wednesday, they lie. On Thursday, they tell the truth" that would be arbitrary.

Ok, this should clear it up for you, HyeMew:

I said when a drama is mentioned, the info is true.

Conversly, I said when a comedy is mentioned, the info is false.

Comedy. No doubt.

Well I think the mentioning of Rocky was inevitable, as it has been all over Jonas's myspace for some time and they are both boxers.

In my opinion, mentioning Bad News Bears or, indirectly, Back to the Future, are just attempts to recapture the more liberal use of pop culture references that used to be more prominent in each LG episode.

I agree. However, I didn't say anything about indirect references to movies.

I respect your opinion. I just thought maybe you didn't understand my theory, however crazy it may be.

Yeah, a lot of it is random. However, I remember thinking the same thing the first time I red Kafka's The Metamorphosis, which is rife with latent symbolism.

I get what both of you are saying....there is a pattern, and the pattern might not mean anything. How cool is that? We get to figure out if it is random, coincidental or meaningful. Kinda like science, isn't it?

So give me more Apotheosis ( oh my that is hard to spell).....why is it a pattern.....and give me more HyeMew, why is it random or coincidental?

I hear that Apotheosis is tough. Some copy/paste. Others just call me "Apo."

Bree and I Hooked Up mentions In the Morning http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0438104/ a drama.

Hiding In The Bathroom mentions Breaking Point http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106479/ a drama.

Having done this research, I have come to the conclusion that my own theory may actually not be crazy. It may just really suck.
