LG15 and The Sopranos

I can't help from thinking of the uncanny parallel between LG15 Saga/ARG and The Sopranos. Here, take a look:

PEOPLE
OpAphid = Tony Soprano
The Order = The "Family"
Lucy = Christopher
Bree's Dad = Adrianna (Leaked secretive information with fatal consequences)
Bree = Junior (Bree used to be in The Order but spends her time locked indoors. Junior used to run The Family but spends his time locked indoors.)
Daniel = Bacala (Daniel cares for Bree in the home/ Bacala cares for Junior in the home)
Jonas = Vito (he he he, couldn't resist)
Gemma = Richie (Once on the side of OpAphid/Tony Soprano, turned into a liability)
Brother = Janice (Janice killed Richie, an unintentional favor to Tony. Brother killed Gemma, an unintentional favor to OpAphid)

PLACES
Coffee Shop where Bree last talked with her Dad = Satriale's Pork Store
The Order's Headquarters = Bada Bing

OTHER OBSERVATIONS
Both LG15 and The Sopranos leave a bunch of storylines unresolved.
Both LG15 and The Sopranos have a highly dedicated fan base.
Both involve lots of secrets, breaking and entering, and following people.
Both make "drops" in bodies of water.
The Order dresses in Black, so do Italians. :P

Hmmmmm, what else?

I am a Soprano's fan so this idea makes me very excited. I see your connections but I will need to do some thinking and putting stuff together before I add anything.

Great job! :D

Thanks!

I really think there's a strong connection between P. Monkey and Dr. Malfi, but then that would mean Bree = Tony Soprano. Or, that OpAphid confides in P. Monkey. I'll have to keep thinking on that one...

LOL! I love the connections! I'm starting to think that LG15 can be placed into almost any context.

Keep working on that P. Monkey connection :O)

First of all, there is no such thing as a "mafia" or "organized criminals" in New Jersey. I should know, I live here.

Second of all, "The Sopranos" is highly degrading to those of Italian-American extraction.

Third of all, the "Bada Bing" is actually a place called "Satin Dolls" and is NOT a topless bar. It is a bikini go-go bar. It is illegal in the state of NJ to have a topless bar that serves alcohol, and Satin Dolls sells alcohol. The "Bada Bing" is pure fabrication because they show topless dancers in an alcohol-serving establishment.

youse may want to think twice about comparing anything to the "sopranos"

I don't personally have any experience in that area but will take your word for it.

I am 100% Italian and I am not offended because its fiction and I know how to laugh at stereotypes.

It's a show, not the 6:00 news. Thanks.

Just a couple of points:

1. There's no such thing as the Mafia
2. There's no such thing as the Mafia
3. We don't always wear black suits
4. There's no such thing as the Mafia

Buona sera boys... and keep your noses clean. :wink:

Let's do Hey Arnold next!

It's an obvious take-off on Three's Company

I think LG15 is obviously a take on Three's Company but modernized to be about one girl living with two guys.

Bree = Jack Tripper
Janet = DanielBeaste
Cindy (the dumb one between Chrissy and Terri) = Jonas
Bree's Dad = Rev. Snow
The Order = Mr. and Mrs. Roper
Paul and Andrea = Mr and Mrs Roper also
Tannhaus = Mr. Furley
Lana = Rhonda
Larry = Jonas (goofy neighbor who is Jack's/Bree's best friend but lands him in hijinks but is willing to share his home)

I was able to see this model within only a few LG15 Episodes, but I thought by now it would be so obvious that everyone would get it.

I can understand if someone might think LG15 is based on Eight is Enough, except when you do the math (5 characters vs. 8 ) it doesn't match up, but Three's Company does.

How about The Fairly Odd Parents?

Bree= Timmy. Always into some fine mess, often involving his parents.

Daniel = Wanda. The level headed one who always has to save the day.

Jonas = Cosmo. Cute, but goofy, doesn't contribute much.

The Order = Vicky. Ultimate badness.
