Maybe you can help Bree find out more about who she is. Of course it might be good to tell her about it...but in a nice way:

Hey Bree..I know your under a lot of pressure and stress right now, but I just want to let you know that I'm going to do some research and see if I can find anything...I want to help you.

Then give her a hug and say:

Everything will be okay, honey. We'll figure out everything.

And then go research with Daniel on the computer...read what we've found, especially what Trainer101 has thought up. This might help put some pieces together...and maybe piece back Bree.
