Okay, so, excuse me if this is a question that's already been asked or is posted somewhere else or something, lol, I'm still new.

But, I was reading another topic thinking about Bree's mom and dad, and how they were set up to be her parents by the Order, and her mother was the one who seems higher up than her father... and I suddenly wondered WHY she's on the run in the first place, and just how evil her Mother, for one, might be.

If you recall, Bree came to them about being worried over the ceremony and they agreed to speak to the Deacons about it. Why did her mother, especially, agree to ask them, and then come back not wanting to talk about it and seeming a little depressed, as Bree described it?

Had her mother grown closer to Bree over time and forgot about her responsibilities in bringing her up for the ceremony? They very well could have reassured her and just told her to do it, but they asked about having her excused. (Allegedly anyway)

But my REAL question, for which this is all background noise, is why Bree is on the run anyway.

Days before her parents "disappeared," they sent Bree to go stay with Daniel, and once they finally DID leave they left her a note and some money to help sustain her while she was away from home.

So, the note and money could have been from her father, but why did they send her away to Daniel's and then leave without her if they truly wanted her?

Was being on the run something that the Order wanted for her? Maybe they expected her to come running back, or to somehow realize the error of her ways and suddenly want to do the ceremony again?

I'm not sure... but it seems like having Bree running around loose was something that the Order was in support of. Perhaps, after she'd been so sheltered all her life, they expected her to be absolutely horrified by living homeless in a warehouse, sleeping in the car, having her room ransacked, so much so that she would come running back to her previously stable life and all would be well again.

After all, the watchers that we supposedly saw never once tried to grab her or actually do them any harm save for stealing their money. All they did was "watch," so maybe they were there to protect her and make sure things didn't get "out of hand."

I dunno... it just occured to me that all of this on the run stuff must be an Order-condoned thing. Maybe Bree's just a lot more strong-headed than they expected, lol.

After killing her Dad though... they might have shot themselves in the foot with that one.

But...

you have done two things quickly:

1) Noticed right away that there are some abysmal plot holes and

2) made a very good observation that is quite thought provoking.

It makes a great deal of sense that the Order wants her out there among the great unwashed. Perhaps to see how well she does with it? Testing her metal so to speak.

Because you can only do so much with plot development in a bedroom (unless you want to do sex). And yes, the logic of this whole thing is abysmal and the plot is the amateurish creation of amateurs. Everything else flows from these two facts. As for trying to determine what's really going on, it's a waste of time because the writers don't have a clue. The best thing to come out of this was the song from Dee. Sorry to be so negative, but this really had potential at the beginning and now it's just limping along looking for the Cafe Raison D'etre.

I'm somewhat in agreement with Lord Balto. The series has definitely deteriorated. But given some of the suggestions on this board for plot developments that would be truly abysmal, I can appreciate a bit more that the creators aren't completely scraping the bottom of the barrel -- at least not yet.

I was frankly ready to give up on LG15, but the fact that some more information about the Order has been parceled out to us is keeping me hanging on -- at least for one more day.

P.S. In the latest vid, Bree explains why she doesn't go home. But you're right -- it didn't make much sense for her and Daniel to go on the run in the first place.

That isn't something I've really thought about but it is a good point. It really doesn't make sense. It does seem that at least her father was also running from the order though.

Maybe at the point where the mother was asking the deacons she was being swayed by Bree's father... also maybe swayed by her own emotions towards Bree. Then maybe she helped let Bree run away and then realized her mistake and went back to the order? Then the father ran for his own sake? This is the only logic I can get out of the situation.

...or the note wasn't left by her parents but some group that is against the Order and was trying to save Bree? Did her father say he left her that note?

The other possibility is simply that the creators didn't think ahead quite that much. This isn't like a movie that you can go back and edit before it's released to the public. Once it's out there, it's out there and they are stuck with their previous videos. I am beginning to wonder if they should test some of their videos on a test audience of a handful of people... like how many real movie makers do. This would be a good way to avoid huge plot holes they might miss on their own.

Yeah, the more I think about it, the more I'm convinced that it is just a plot hole.

I guess it's something that happens along the way though... they've said they're pretty influenced by what we want, so maybe at that time they weren't going to say that her parents (or just her mother) was in on it, they decided that earlier?

I guess it just doesn't make sense and that's the end of it, lol.

But dear god, please no test audience, I'd rather have plot holes and a vid every other day or so than really good ones that we have to wait a week for, hehe.

I think that is a little harsh, they still might be able to pull the rabbit out of the hat, and stun us all.

Anyway it's been a fun ride, even if it seems now to be getting a little bumpy.

i think the whole thing has been a test. from the ceremony till now. to see how bree would react to all the trials and tribulations the order was putting her through. The 36 girls have to be whittled down to one and this is how it's done. sever all ties with family, maybe sever all ties with friends. will bree's leadership qualities prevail? (or whatever trait/s she is being prized for.)
i actually think bree's dad is alive and that was part of the test also.
did anyone else think it was odd that there was no official word on bree's dad's death? or funeral? surely bree cared so much about him that she would have wanted to at least peek in at a distance to his funeral. Or slip in to the cemetery afterwards. (or mausoleum or whatever)

Maybe it is just a plot hole, or maybe now that you brought it up they'll decide to explain it. It seems they make videos in response to our complaints frequently.
