We Are The Watchers

So I've been thinking about this for quite awhile, but haven't had the patience to actually post.

What if the watchers aren't part of the order? What if they were actually the opposite.

Bear with me for a moment.

The first time we hear about the Watchers is from Gemma's video "A Watcher" in which she claimed she noticed a suspicious man with a distinct tattoo.
Gemma tells Bree that she's worried that this person is following her and is part of the order... But as it turns out, Gemma is instead.
So I think that because Gemma is a traitor, we have to take what she says and reverse it.
-Gemma tells Bree and Daniel to go home when we know that OpAphid is watching their homes...
-Gemma tells Bree not to trust Jonas
-and Gemma tells Bree to beware of Watchers.

We know that following these first two points of advice would lead to some very bad things.
Why are we all so sure that Gemma wasn't trying to keep her away from the good guys once again?

Gemma posts a video about being followed. She thinks she sees a watcher in a pub.
This enstills some fear in Bree. But since Gemma is part of the order, maybe the person who was watching her was part of the Tachyon crew.

Lastly, I think it makes a lot of sense in all forms of the word Watcher. We are literally the watchers of bree and daniel beast. The audience - the viewers. And, for at least most of us, we're the good guys.

We know that Gemma couldn't be trusted, so why are we still on the hate the watchers bandwagon?

thoughts??

i don't think we're the watchers. in fact, we'd better not be.

i kind of think that either gemma figured she had nothing to lose with the watchers thing so she told them to gain their trust, wanted b&d to be paranoid so she sent watchers after them and then told them about it, or that she made it up completely.

ps: 100th post.

I don't really think that we're the watchers. I see what you're getting at, but I don't think so.

I like your ideas about turning around what Gemma said, but I'm not really sure what to think about anything she's said. I think we need a little more info about her before we make any assumptions.

I understand what you're trying to say, and while I don't think the watchers are a threat, I doubt that they're the audience. It makes sense, but it also makes Bree, or Gemma seem paranoid.

That's an interesting theory. Don't think I've heard it yet.
I wonder about the Watchers too. Who's side are they on and what is their purpose?

It's just strange how passive the supposed "bad guys" have been. They've given up plenty of opportunities to get their ceremony girl.

Heh. So, we know that the Watchers are part of the Order. And the reason they are so passive is because they are Watchers. Their name is their job. They are not the Killers, the Maimers or the Snatchers. They are the Watchers and they watch.

Gemma referenced them in order to gain Bree and Daniels trust even more and to get her to return to her home. She wanted to play on their fear to get them to do what she wanted them to do. We know that Gemma worked (or is working, depending on your point of view as to her death) for the Order.

We also know that the Order has been very nonviolent. Some blame Bree's dad's "death" (again, depending on your point of view) on the Order, but even that isn't clear. We haven't seen them being very violent, but who knows, they could have sent the Killers and not the Watchers out after Bree and her Dad.

As to which side is good and which side is evil, your guess is as good as mine. Right now, it really depends on your point of view concerning this whole series. The Order could be bad or good, as could Tachyons organization. We just don't have enough information pertaining to either group to make a definitive call on that issue.

They have been confirmed as being part of the Order by OpAphid.

i just want to say that this was all just a theory that I thought was interesting.
I am not adamant about it being true in the least. I just thought it was an interesting way to approach it.

also, I was not aware that Opa confirmed them as being part of the order. Thank you for clearing that part up.
