"Bubble Tea" is a tea beverage. The term "Bubble" refers to the tapioca balls in the drink (or in some places yam starch). These chewy tapioca balls, or "pearls," are consumed along with the beverage through a wide straw.
Bubble tea is generally split into two types: fruit-flavored teas, and milk teas. Bubble tea is popular in many Asian regions.
this is what it looks like:

I love me some Quickly. ^^ However, I don't really like the pearls too much, so sometimes I go with pudding instead.

Holy god, I love Bubble Tea. To really really unhealthy amounts.
Unfortunately, I live a life deprived of it's delicious presence. I've considered buying kits, but I'm worried they'd be gross.
Do you people prefer milk teas or non-milk teas? I love milky taro and normal jasmine, personally.

Popular in my area- they call it "Boba Tea". It has to be served with a big straw so the pearls can be sucked up through the straw. The pearls have a very strange texture- not much flavor.

Once again, I think Shifty is causing confusion.
I know that this is a general discussion board, but it's mainly for OpAphid related stuff.
Even if it is random, the carrot cake thread is based off of a raging arguement from the IRC chat, so technically it's "OpAphid") ... and while bubble tea *does* rule, I don't think The Order drinks it.
So, I'm gonna move this over to Off The Cuff. That way everyone from LG15 can discuss the joy of bubble tea!

Maybe this weekend I will make a venture to Atlanta and go to this amazing sushi restaurant to see if they have it.
