The Physical Decoder:
ATTN: Before hitting print, check in print preview. These were made in paint but due to the interwebs, assume errors over perfection ^_^
The Outside Ring (movies):
The Inside Ring (lovelines):
Using the Decoder:
Find the character in brackets [?] on the outside ring (ring I)
Based on the key, align the keys character to the constant on the outside ring and then find the input character from the code on the inside ring to find its decoded partner on the outside ring. This is the letter or number you record.
Remember that 0/0 means that 0s are not only decoded as 0s but skipped over when aligning to the key
Example of decodeing:
