So my question is, why is Bree running from the order and why is it that they would be trying to capture her? It seems that if they really wanted to nab her, they have had plenty of opportunities (like on Thanksgiving when Bree and Daniel were hiking out in the middle of nowhere). Is it possible that they are just keeping an eye on her?
ALSO.. is it possible that within The Order there are good guys and bad guys? Maybe the watchers following Bree are friends of Bree's parents within the order that they asked to keep an eye on her to protect her from the bad guys within The Order.

Here are the possible reasons I can come up with for why the bad guys of The Order are following Bree/trying to capture her:

1- Bree and her parents know certain secrets of the Order and if they leave the community they might divulge these secrets

2- The Order fears that if Bree and her family leave that other people in the community might leave as well because Bree's family is well respected within the community?

3- They are still going to try to make her go through with the ceremony. (But she is in no way pure by the order's standards anymore and she hasn't been practicing anymore- and it's likely she has forgotten a lot of the steps and language for the ceremony, so I just don't think this is the case)

3- Punnishment-- some kind of judgement within the system where Bree and her parents would be punnished for trying to break protocol and disobey the elders and deacons.

4- Sacrifice-- They must have her as a kind of sin scapegoat for the community and she's the only one that will do? (scape·goat 1. a person or group made to bear the blame for others or to suffer in their place. 2. Chiefly Biblical. a goat let loose in the wilderness on Yom Kippur after the high priest symbolically laid the sins of the people on its head. Lev. 16:8,10,26. )

5- The Watchers following Bree are actually good guys within The Order or ex-members of The Order like Tachyon, watching out for her to protect her from the bad ones trying to catch her like OpAphid and Lucy

Those are good thoughts. I always kind of assumed it's because they want her for the ceremony whether she does it voluntarily or not. But time is passing, and now I wonder if the opportunity for the ceremony has already passed. So maybe it is that they fear information about this "secret society-like cult/religion" will get out. Even though it's clear Bree knows next to nothing...

As for good/bad guys, we have OpAphid and Tachyon. OpAphid is part of (or represents) the order, and Tachyon split from the group. Of course, I'm not sold on Tachyon being "good" to OpAphid's "evil" yet...

Or, at least...Bree acts as if she knows nothing. I don't know that I trust her on that...

In response to #3:

It could be that all the studying and practicing were pointless tasks the had nothing to do with the real ceremony. Maybe they told her to practice all that stuff so that she would think the ceremony was going to go a certain way, but really it would be something she would never agree to do if she knew about it before the event.

I kinda thought that there might not even be a ceremony at all, and Bree was more like a "chosen one" for some ritual or experiment, or to be used as a host for some supernatural being or something wacky like that. Like maybe her lineage had special genes that were passed down for centuries until the time was right, yadda yadda. At this point it could be anything or nothing at all.

The more the plot progresses, the more I'm convinced as well that there are different factions at work here.

I think that evidence points to Gemma working for the Order the whole time. But she was also the one who inexplicably pointed out the Watchers in the videos for Bree and Daniel, driving them to paranoia and forcing them on the run. Like the mark on the Watcher's hand--NOBODY could see that except Gemma. Why would the Order want Bree and Daniel to flee the Watchers?

Also, if the Order was looking to 'nap them, why didn't the Watchers do it all that time they were at the motel, where they were just standing outside watching?

I also think that Bree knows more than she's telling. Daniel's complained before that despite being chased around, Bree still won't tell him more about her religion. Think about it--this is her RELIGION. She was raised in it. She was HOMESCHOOLED in it. Her parents are definitely well-respected, maybe even high-ranking members in it. She went to religion-camp (Order Camp?) She should be packed up to her ears in Order-related dogma because you don't live 17 years being deeply religious without ANY knowledge of your religion.

I think Bree has been "chosen" for whatever the Order wants her for far longer than this series. Remember than birthmark on her back that looks exactly like the watcher symbol? She's had it since she was a kid. It could be a sign that she was branded for this, or connected deeper to the Watchers in some way. And why Bree? Why not Gemma or another virgin female in the Order?

Gemma was a little too interested in the note from the parents. Bree still serves some sort of purpose and they wanted to try to coax her into submission first for some reason.

Ya notice something? Oppy and Tachy have been posting vids this whole time, none of the characters aware to their existance, yet what happens? A Tachyon vid ends up in Jonas' hands!! I mean, wtf? BREAKING THE FOURTH WALL!

And "BOO!" on the nothing date of Dec 10th!

These are all very interesting theories, especially Psychojenny48's idea. I'm also thinking that there might also be some kind of connection between Gemma and Bree related to the ceremony (if there even was supposed to be one). I don't know what, but it probably involves their DNA. Perhaps they counteract with each other? Or complement each other? Gemma has known Bree for a long time, and her mom is friends with Bree's mom, so she might even know more about Bree than Bree knows about herself.

Daniel's known about Tachyon since at least the "Homeless" video. It was her telling him that his car was bugged that prompted him to abandon it.
