The last two opAphid vids have had their titles taken from movies, both directed by Chris Columbus. Do you think this is something significant, or just coincidence (he's only directed 15 movies, according to imdb, so I think that is too large a coincidence), and the importance is more in the idea of watching/not being able to watch children?

I think the Op PMs are movie buffs. Probably nothing more than that.

Newsflash.
Movie Buffs don't exactly celebrate the filmic accomplishments of Chris Columbus.
I think it's likely to mean something as much at it is likely to have been a coincidence.

Oppy said in her e-mail (It's in the Archive somewhere) "Take the quotes literal, don't look for a deeper meaning." in the early days when we were overanalyzing every quote in her movies.
Silly N00bz.

yea..
even though i am guilty of it too, we really need to calm down and stop over anazlysing things.
Just because chris columbus movie's are frequently used...the biggest reason probably is because his movies usually have good messages AND great quotes that are simple to remember.
ALSO
seeing the pms and creators were teens in the 80s it's easy to assume these are favorite movies. And most of his movies are just simply...classics.

sorta like he's a means to an end, a bank of great multi-purpose one-liners.
