Open letter to the Creators - Daniel should ditch Bree

Dear Creators,
Thank you for crafting a story we all love, with characters we all care about.
That said, the LG series has come to a very important fork in the road. Given your talk about the importance of interactivity in developing the story, I felt a responsibility to speak up as a fan.
Of course, in no way do I represent all -- or even the majority -- of fans. Yet I suggest the following course that I believe is best for the series to take:
Daniel must ditch Bree and go on the offensive.
Showing B&D running from the Watchers was important -- and fun. We have learned a lot since they began, and as a result, we have recognized the seriousness of their situation.
At the same time, everything that I love about B&D has been missing for quite some time, and I want to see the old Bree and the old Daniel once again.
1. Bree
I'm not full of praise about the way Bree has carried herself. In my opinion, she has displayed selfishness and cowardice when her parents needed her the most. In short, she has acted like the 16-year-old that she is.
Her parents are in somebody's trunk right now, but I'm not going to pretend that Bree is the kind of kid who can deal with that type of pain in a responsible way. So let Bree be Bree, I say, and allow her to stay with Jonas.
In effect, this will take us back to the happy and carefree days of the series, when "Proving Science Wrong" won the hearts and minds of Bree lovers everywhere. Unlike Daniel, Jonas won't forcefully challenge Bree to deal with her pain. Sure, there will be the occasional cry-fest, as both talk about missing their parents. Maybe the truth about how Jonas' parents went missing will come out, as well (i.e. Is Jonas "Sam?" Did the Order actually take his parents away?).
Allow Bree to stay with Jonas, and we will have won back the old Bree, rather than the Bree that actually pushes away the camera Daniel was holding and, in effect, insult her many fans.
Can Jonas be trusted? I have no idea, and my working assumption is that she cannot trust him. Nevertheless, it appears that the Order doesn't want her dead. Instead, they want her to go through ceremony freely. That means she can be there safely for at least some period of time.
2. Daniel
Like Bree, I'm not full of praise about the way Daniel has handled himself. Where is the courage (and recklessness) that Daniel exhibited when he broke into Lucy's in order to dig up information about the girl he loves? Why has Daniel suddenly become more concerned with his own life?
This is not the same Daniel that spent sleepless nights researching Bree's "religion" in an effort to save her from it. This is not the same Daniel that risked his safety in order to protect Bree, by leaving his family and everything he has to run away with her.
In fact, now he talks about retreating, and giving it all up. This is not the same Daniel who we all love. No. The Daniel so many of us identified with has disappeared right along with the old Bree.
But in ditching Bree, there's an opportunity.
3. Solution
The truth is, sadly enough, that Bree is dead weight. It is impossible to go on the offensive as long as she is around. If they are to resolve this situation for the better, it will only happen DESPITE Bree.
Daniel must, once again, break into Lucy's computer to discover more information (about Bree's parents and also their own situation). He must start watching the Watchers, and learning from it. He must take action, despite the girl he loves frolicking around with some lame skateboarder that cannot be trusted.
It's certainly in his character to do so. The last time, when Bree was done with Daniel and angrily told him to stop following her, Daniel stood strong. He'll have the same painful times he had before, when many of looked upon Daniel with a sense of pity.
But that's what guys like Daniel do. And in the end, we can only hope this American hero gets the girl.
Respectfully,
EliCash
