ok, im new here, and I just heard about the Opaphid videos, and the other people. Can i get a brief explanation? Who is cassie? is she dead? is this for real, or is it fake, because its freaking me out! Are they interacting with the fans, as in calling them? who is tachylon? what are "drops"? can they actually send fans clues?

i know, i seem stupid, but i really want to know whats going on, and i want to interact with the characters too! please help! :?: :?: :?:

Cassie & Tachyon (and Drops, whom I don't know) are fan fictions: based on the same plot, but they drifted, presumably away.

OpAphid is a fan fiction that was acknowledged by the Creators (hence 'canon') and while independent, still run by a different group. To interact with the characters, you can do anyting: write a quick comment, film something, set up a full website, some magazines and a media empire dedicated to LG15... Whatever you please: if the Creators think it is good, they will introduce it to Bree & Daniel's story line. Video comments are best --- but many comments were taken into account too.

B, I'm not understanding your explanation about OpAphid being "fan fiction", considering the video showing the ransacking. I don't think just anyone can start an offshoot of LG15 and be acknowledged by the creators, because they'd have to have a lot of inside information that it would be impossible for a fan to have access to without breaking and entering sets.

OpAphid being official means it isn't "fan fiction," it's official. It was started as a fan created effort (confirmed by The Creators), but it's part of the whole deal now... hence "canon."

Tachyon is part of OpAphid which is canon. Drop is the term for items left in a location part of the OpAphid ARG. OpAphid started out as a fan creation hence why the first videos refer heavily to Cassie. Cassie Is Watching was a fan ARG that attracted alot of people and OpAphid was catering to those people. Then CiW died out suddenly and Op kept going and was later adopted by the creators as a canon ARG.
