the phone number is...mixed-up or something. Ends in 666 *snicker* and...the whole thing seems kind of odd...

Yep. And the area code 555 is reserved for "directory assistance applications". But hell, I'm gonna try and call it anyway :D

And I got 2 different messages. With the 1 in front, I got the operator Lady telling me my call can't be completed as dialed. Without it, I got a man saying my call can't be completed as dialed.

Either way, dead end...

haha I think it was an attempt to make sure we didn't bother some poor bystander with 50-quintillion calls.

I don't think it has anything to do with OpA. Operatives can write, generally. Could be Tach or Brother on the fly though, trying to contact her.

But I'm going with "bored fan"

Smells like some kind of gamejack. One, since the Order like to keep themselves out of the public eye, they wouldn't post like that up on the board. Two, if they want bree to contact them so bad, what's with the phone number? Either its correct, in which case 555 doesnt exist as an area code, or is jumbled, which makes no sense.

If I'm wrong I'm wrong, but I call GAMEJACK!!!

I think that was an attempt at a fake phone number but they forgot that the hollywood 555 is the first three digits of the main number not the area code.

I'd try to unscramble it but there are only 5's, 6's, and 3417...310 is the area code for most of this stuff, 317 is Indianapolis though...can't translate to letters on the keypad because 1 doesn't have a letter...and alphabetically it makes no sense EEE-CDAG-FFF. Unless we're dealing with some sort of musical code, it's just jibberish.

I'd wait for better information before proceeding as if this is a real puzzle. The forums have never been a clue source and we shouldn't brute force our way through phone numbers.

I was simply saying that even if you wanted to proceed as if it were a puzzle, there's nothing there. Thus, it can easily be discounted as jibberish unless and until Tach/Bro/OpA say otherwise.

I PM'd them, so maybe they'll write me back...I doubt it, but maybe.

Yeah, that lady with the kid was ready to kill us all. :)

I second Lad ... GAMEJACK!

(And a poor one, at that. Where did this guy learn to construct a sentence, the Yoda school of grammar?)
