During the cookie contest "episode", Purple Monkey grades the cookies by holding up numbers. He holds up a 10 first, then a 12 for the next cookie, then a 06 (not just 6, but 06) for the last one.

That's also the anniversary of the discovery of America!! Could Crowley be the reincarnation of Columbus?

Unless they're using day/month/year format, in which case I'll get back to you.

Could be the date of her "ceremony" as well?

I also found something quite interesting on wikipedia about a "Gnostic Mass" which is performed by Thelema...

"In many ways it is similar in structure to the Mass of the Roman Catholic Church. However, the comparison ends there, as the Gnostic Mass is a celebration of the principles of Thelema. The ceremony calls for five officers: a priest, a priestess, a deacon, and two acolytes*, called “children. "

*(Acolyte - any attendant, assistant, or follower. )

Just a thought!

Sometimes religious ceremonies require a period of ritualistic fasting beforehand. That could be the case. A month or so ahead makes sense. Not sure about Thelemia and whether they do that however.

Hmm well I guess we shall see on that date. I did find it really odd when I saw those numbers in the first place. Sure a ceremony makes sense but it seems too convienent to have it the same date as Crowley's birthday. Does anyone know of any rituals or the likes that occur on Crowley's birthday?

The last time the ritual may have been done was 8/31/02 or 9/1/02.

I think we may have found where. Check out posting http://lonelygirl15.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=2760#2760

All I've read on Crowleymas, which is known as Crowley's birthday of 10-12-06, is that followers usually have a big feast together ("feast for life"), recite some poetry/inspiration/theology text like in a Mass and do some sort of dance [maybe with a drumming circle] or light candles. I think this date may be a little bit of a disappointment unless the creators make up some events that do no normally occur in real life for Crowley followers who celebrate him. The day has significance but nothing on sacrificing virginity or magik and any "out there" cult-ish kind of initiation things we all expect.

I just thought of her vlogs, I wonder if she does a video on halloween and if that just might be more interesting, no?

Video #10 "My Parents... Let Us Go Hiking!!!"
No explanation of why suddenly they can go hiking,

Video #12 "Girl Problems..."
"I got 99 problems, but a Bree ain't 1.... yeah, so that kinda says it..."

Video #06 "My Parents Suck..."
They are told they can't go hiking, and Daniel might not be allowed over to the house any more.

If the ceremony only happens "once in a long while" I doubt it's attached to the birthday...the birthday may be an important date, but I doubt it's directly attached to the ceremony, because 129 doesn't seem like a major anniversary.
