What if this isn't actually a game?

I'm relatively new here, but I've been following this for a number of days and I have a horrible theory:
What if this whole Cassie thing is actually some nutcase out there named Frank or otherwise who actually killed a girl named Cassie some time in the past and is now fixated on the actress playing Bree? What if his twisted mind has created the voice of his previous victim which only he can hear and he is planting these clues either hoping to be caught before he kills again, or is just taunting us?
I guess what I'm asking is, what proof do we have that this really is just a game?

Just in case, Jessica Lee Rose should be protected anyway especially on
the 12th against any kind of weirdo who might like to take the game
too seriously....

This is not a game is it?

It's definitely a game. It's an Alternate Reality, but it's a game nonetheless. No need to worry; Jess Rose is safe.

It's entirely possible that it's really a nutjob. But if it is, he made a huge mistake by putting us nutjobs on the case

You're right. But back when the whole anagrams/morse code/stuff hadn't started yet, and it was just videos luring people out to remote locations in the woods, people were TERRIFIED that this was a creepazoid looking to kill someone. Can you imagine our utter horror if we heard that Cu Roi had been brutally attacked when he went to go get the bag?
Remember that idiot who spammed all the LG15/CiW boards/forums/etc. with that "Don't go in the tunnel" warning, about how police were investigating reports of screams and blood trails and things...
Mass hysteria COULD ensue if this turns out to be a psycho killer. But I really think it's just a game... and definitely not a fan, because whoever does this is online ALL THE TIME because usually when we solve something we get acknowledgement within an hour... i.e. Cu Roi's CASKET OF TEARS being posted and five minutes later TOO LATE YOU ALL FAILED I HATE YOU pops up. It's definitely someone who's doing this for a living... like the LG15 creators or otherwise.

I was toying with the "what if it's not a game?" theory tonight... What if it's NOT a game? cassieiswatching started up on 9/12, the day of/after Jessica Rose's outing as fiction. What if some psycho freak was reallyreallyreallyreally pissed, and started stalking the video-makers, and has something violent in mind as a finale? I mean, if the creators say, "This is not a game!" people take it to mean it IS a game, but if they say it IS a game, they're breaking a rule...so they're damned if they do, damned if they don't.
I really am on the fence about what I believe the truth is, but I'd prefer to err on the side of caution and safety...I have a really horrible feeling about how this might turn out. You know? I'm just afraid human-kind is going to show its worst face to the world...

A lunatic could use a geocache to lure people, too, but I don't stop geocaching because of that remote possibility. Yes, caution should be used when going to real world drops (5 1/2 hours in the woods by myself retrieving a cache probably wasn't smart), but the slight chance that something bad might happen shouldn't scare people away.
As for Cu, he wasn't attacked. He's fine. I hate that he went it alone, but he says he can take care of himself. I'm sure he weighed the risks/rewards before making that decision. He's a grown man, so who am I to tell him he shouldn't have done it?
As for CiW always having confirmations and such up quickly, appearing to be online 24/7, my guess is that there is a team behind it, not an individual. All they'd have to do is work in shifts, and they'd give the illusion of someone who is always online.
As always, just my humble ramblings

Excellent point. If I didn't know better, I'd say I said the same thing myself.
Oh yeah, I did.
Another thread... almost the exact words.

I live in Canada, so I'm not sure how the police system works in the states, but I know that here we have policemen who monitor popular forums and websites. Chances are there's probably a similar system in the states

cassieiswatching is most definetly a nutjob to be able to track down locations, and try to embed her part into the whole storyline.
It is quite an interesting and well done attempt to take advantage of the lonelygirl15 craze.
