Lonelygirl15

So the creators said that they want to do LonelyGirl-type seires all around the world, LonelyGirl15 being the American (and original :3) and KateModern being the British (the second).

So I was wonder where else the Breeniverse might grow? And will they over-lap?

I'd like to see maybe a Hispanic or Japanese LonelyGirl.

As it is set in the same world, I'm guessing so.

I think the reason they chose the uk is becuase its an english speaking contry and the majority of the audiance they needed to please was the lg15 fans. While attracting a larger uk audiance.

I also dobt Kates lonely it looks like gavin and tariq are already good friends with kate. I duno about story arcs crossing but it would be interesting. i think we should see how this pans out before we look towards other countrys.

Language is a big issue when it comes to expansion into other countries. However I wouldn't mind watching the dutch version in english. Most people probably wouldn't mind. It's not that realistic but who cares. It's nearby and I could actively participate in events!

EDIT: Ok, to make my point a bit more clear, what I meant was, I wouldn't mind having the characters in for example an amsterdam based LG15'like thing speak english. Even if they are supposed to be dutch characters. And if you want local actors, most people in Holland speak english very well, so please bring the Breeniverse to us!

Yeh i was thinking along the lines of. If they had gone for a different laguage we the lonely fan majority being of english speaking would feel alienated if the spin off is in a language they dont recognise.

Kate is too old.

I thought that to. The Kate moddern cast are much older All are in there early 20's where as the lg15 cast are supposed to of been around 16-18 when the story began (character age wise)

I think it's a good thing that the characters are a bit older. I don't want LG15 2.0--I want KateModern. I'm hoping that its a unique, new story--which is exactly what it seems to be.

I like the fact they're older. They can get drunk and have sex and everyone wont be all like noooooo!

This is makeing me so think of buffy. Buffy was the teenage life problems sorta thing while angel was a darker mature show.

I suppose with britain haveing a high underage pregnancy and drinking rates(aka chav life) they feel they shouldnt premote that stuff. Older is better more interesting i say and makes it different.
