Since the bald eagle is not on the endangered list, I decided that Colbert is a great name for the busy male gopher tortoise who also is trying to get off of the threatened species list.

Well, he has to make his rounds and try to attract the girls in the various burrows. He's fast when he does his rounds. lol The girls are fast when they see him...they run for their burrows. Poor guy. lol Since yesterday, we've gone from 7 to 8 burrows in our yard. They dig very fast as well. Strong diggers.

Boy, this guy DOES look as if he's on a definite and decisive mission. I love this guy, Jamie! I hope we'll see more of him (and progeny? <huge grin>)
