"At least some folks can still play guitar."
Sounds like he's picking on poor fingerless Annabel. The music itself seems to be a little dig at her too.

So is/was Sean some kind of hitman? Is he responsible for that pile of bodies they keep showing?

The pictures shown are from Pieter Bruegel's "Triumph of Death."

It seems to me he's pulling a Darth Vader on Luke.

Okay, I've been gone (nasty nasty real life stuff, don't ask, but I'm also working on a multiple day migraine with percocet and dark glasses to cope <sigh>), so...where do I need to go to find out about Annabelle's missing fingers? That, I didn't catch...just know it happened. And, does anyone know what TV theme songs Gone is pilfering (since he maintains he's now a guitar stylist)?
I'm going to have to re-watch, as I'm having trouble seeing words over images with my dark glasses, but I DID see fingers at the beginning. Evil little Winky man.
He looks a great deal like the migraine image in the imitrex commercials - has anyone noticed? (a pharmaceutical I can't take, but it just dawned on me where I'd seen his charming self before <mutter>)

*hands cher an advil and water, although I'm afraid that's useless*
So, the fingers thing. Yeah, it was mostly suggested:
Gone threatens to "ask for her hand" here:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RuqCYMeQcEI
Then he says Will might be able to save her... "or most of her anyway."
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WiUHqFJt8Ms
Then Will/Sean goes and rescues her and sees the damage... "I can't take her to a hospital." This includes various dark and/or blurry images of her hands:
http://vids.myspace.com/index.cfm?fusea ... D=11619440
Finally, we hear Annabel herself talk about it in her MySpace:
http://www.myspace.com/vertumnalia
[...]I use to play guitar but I cannot anymore because my left hand is hurt. I am sad that I can never get to play again[...]
[...]The women have already danced but I wasn't allowed to participaite because I am damaged[...]
Hope that helps!

About the music, at first I thought I heard the Dallas TV show theme, but I hadn't heard that in about 25 years. So I went looking and found this:
http://simplythebest.net/sounds/Midi/Mi ... dallas.mid
I'm not even sure if it's an accurate rendition, but it doesn't sound like what Gone is playing, although there are similarities.
I did recognize the James Bond theme for the second half of the video. Not sure what the meaning of it is.

There may be some parallels to the Bourne movies (The Bourne Identity/Supremacy) here?
i.e. Guy (Jason/Sean) is a hitman, guy does some really (bad) killing, guy is hurt, (guy sleeps for seven years in Sean's case) guy wakes up not remembering who he really is, guy slowly gets memory back...
Either way, it definitely implies that Sean used to be a hitman. What do we think Abel's role was?
Another beautiful and disturbing video.

Hmmm...thought you said "anvil"...that sounded about right! Advil won't do it at all.
Anyway, yes, I even commented on the "or most of her" in the one vid, but today is a day that's going right over my head, obviously! <rueful grin> Thanks, deags! Poor Belle...
And, yeah, that's the right music... Gotta wonder if the music means anything...or if he's just picking that to be doubly sadistic...? I mean...DALLAS?

Henry, you ARE a sugar, aren't you! Deags, you're my darling, but Henry, you might just be THE sugar man. You're absolutely right. I haven't seen that show in so long, and I used to watch that obsessively!!
Thank you!!

Har! I am a sugar, heh.
Actually, I'm just a fan of the show. Or I used to be anyway.
I agree with silverblue, there is some hitman stuff being insinuated here.
Abel's role is still a mystery, though judging by annabel's blogs, he seems like a tribal leader or some kind of shaman.
A coupla those shots looked like London. The aerial shot was definitely London, you can see the bridge.
