What on shuffle on your iPod / mp3 player?

Okay, so here's the game:

You shuffle your ipod/mp3 player and tell us the first 5 songs that come up.... List your first five songs, and a bit about them. If you don't have an mp3 player or music to shuffle on your computer, close your eyes and grab 5 cd's at random... Be Honest, even if it's Barry Manilow.

Here we go...

1. Pour Some Sugar On Me / Def Leppard -- It's fun to drink and dance to.
2. Good To Me / The Why Store --Local Indianapolis Band
3. Aint' No Sunshine / Bill Withers -- Great song to sing out loud.
4. Beat It / Michael Jackson --I knew one of these was going to come up, but at least it was one from back in the day when he was still cool.
5. Doesn't Remind Me / Audioslave -- Got it bad for Chris Cornell and i will follow him to whatever band he ends up in next...

1. Beautiful Life- Charlotte Martin
+ This song is gorgeous. It is one of those songs that always puts things in perspective for me.

2. All the Same- Sick Puppies
+ I love this song. It is the song who's music video is the Free Hugs Campaign video.

3. Not Ready Not Make Nice- Dixie Chicks
+ This is my "I am mad at you so I am going to blast this at volumes that could potentially blow my speakers" song

4. It's a Privilege to Pee- Urinetown, the musical
+ I love how it was this song, with this title that came up. ^^
I am a total Broadway Buff, I love musicals.

5. Come Down- Pillows
+ Tis Jrock [Japanese Rock]. Really good song.

I am now realising that my musical tastes refuse to stay in one genre, this doesn't completely show it, but whatever...

I was going to do this, but I can only do it one condition: I cannot guarantee that I can explain the song as I have over 3000 songs and I don't know them all. So with that caveat (and once my new CD The Decemberists - The Tain) finishes importing into iTunes, I will do it.

Back Porch - The Presidents Of The United States Of America (Its POTUS, need I say anything more?)

Valet Parking - The Anne Rogers Quartet (Ah, the music of a good friend! No really, my friend wrote this and this is his band...Nerd Lounge is all I can say to describe this fabulous song.)

Gridlock Caravans - Death Cab For Cutie (Great song to just lay back and listen to when you feel in that wierd not happy not sad mood...mmmmm)

Three Days (Live) - Pearl Jam (As always, Pearl Jam rocks...err Jams? First time I heard this song, but its quite good, low bitrate though so I am having a hard time understanding it...)

Johnny [Live] - Violent Femmes (Another first, but who doesn't love the violent Femmes? A good chillin' song from what I have heard!_

One more to make up for the first timers:

Brazil - Pink Martini (OH MY GAWD! I <3 Pink martini! Soft, old style jazzish music that you just love!!!!!!!!!)

song from thier best album even tho this track is off my drive thru records/purevolume compilation

Forlorn - The Velvet Teen
Gotta love piano-led indie rock!

Spinach - Engine 88
One of the best and most unknown bands from the mid-90s...

Wendy McDonald - Spooky Ruben
One of my favorite songs is about fast food! :D

A - Barenaked Ladies
It's the Barenaked Ladies. Even when they're bad, they're fun.

(S)mothering and Coaching - Guided By Voices
One of the most brilliant and confounding indie bands ever. Bob Pollard is a genius.

I'll Be There For You - The Rembrandts
I'm a big fan of Friends, and I think the song has a great moral to it.

We Be Burning - Sean Paul
It's catchy, what can I say?

Another Dumb Blonde - Hoku

For some reason I've been listening to this nonstop since I first heard it over 7 years ago. I like cutesy pop stuff. Plus this gal is from Hawaii, so the more power to her.

Jerk It Out - The Caesars
Loved it since I heard it in that iPod commercial.

Stand By Me - Ben E. King
50's/60's music is totally my thing.
