A Complaint about Accounts

How does one get their name removed from the member list if they decide to leave? A friend of mine is leaving, and doesn't want their name added to the numbers shown to potential advertisers, as they will no longer be active on the forum, and will not be clicking links. There should be an option to completely close your account out, but I don't see one. I certainly hope that advertisers are not being given the number of members listed on the all-time member list, instead of the more accurate number of potential link clickers (Members who are actually active).

If you want your account deleted, you may contact me via PM. Typically I will deactivate the account first for a few weeks. This will give the person time to change their mind, as has happened before. After that, the account can be deleted and posts deleted.

Is this done with all accounts, or only people who PM you, BK?

IOW, a person must specifically PM to have their name removed from the member list, right?

Correct.

We strongly encourage anyone who just wants to leave the site not to have their account deleted. Many other forums flat out refuse to delete accounts, because the action is irreversible. However, if there is a justifiable reason (beyond just "I don't want to post here anymore"), PM or e-mail me ([email protected]).

will someone let me know if LLP leaves, i know quite a few people who read (lurk) this forum regularly but don't have accounts, so I will ask them to sign up for accounts to preserve the Creators' ability to eat.

but in terms of advertising, forum posters only represent a small minority of the lg15 audience.

I'm not leaving, so there is no need for someone to tell you when I leave, Milowent. I will be here forever.

Taig, stop defending me...please and thank you.

I encourage anyone who has a question about this to contact me via PM or on myspace. I'm not allowed to discuss what is referred to here on this forum, and there is not point trying, as the post will be immediately deleted.

Darling:

It is not, was not, nor is it likely that I will in the future, defend you.

If you perception is such it is certainly misguided. PErhaps you are confused by my defending a prinicpal that you may - coincidentally - be part of.

In short dear. I promise I wont defend YOU specifically.

BTW: I have the sense that my "hug" may have been misinterpreted as well but I am glad that your progeny may have benefitted from that misinterpretation.

and this is my last word on that

(wow...some people can be so difficult)

I remain cautious because zombification is a ploy often used by the gaylien to infiltrate our communities. Be careful. Be certain. She may not be what you think she is. Watch for lowered post rates, logical meaningful argument, sensible comments and general politeness and sociability. These are signs that you are not dealing with the actual person but some odd interpretation of what that pesrson was or should be
Taig wrote:and I on the other hand don't especially care for those who stay on long after their creativity, insight, and sense of humor have been exhausted (or in some cases NEVER really existed) ...

now to the point...

I have discovered something quite surprising in the life of at least one of the missing that truely surprised me...packed with leather, skin and fishnet. Therefore I think this is not so much a suicide pact as it is a case of being locked in the basement for some infraction.
Go f**k yourself, Taig.

Milo, I have no beef with you other than you keep some seriously bad company. They don't have many friends here, and neither will you if you keep associating yourself with them.

This is the one and only time I will acknowledge CuriousGeorge's infantile thread.

BK, if you don't like it quoted, then I suggest you move it to the rubbish bin where it belongs.
