Lonelygirl and Harry Potter

Okay, I know I'm a geek, and this is probably an insult to fans of both series . . . but the similarities abound. I've resisted posting on this topic for a long time, but I'm totally convinced that at least one of the c's reads and was influenced by Harry Potter.
The TAAG vs. the Trio: Our Teenage Adventure Gang consisted mainly of two guys and a girl, until recently when they started gathering friends. Harry, Ron, and Hermione present a similar force. They also gain in numbers (with their friends, the DA) toward the end of the series.
The Elixer of Life: In both stories, it seems like the bad guy wants to live forever. In HP, it's the Philosopher's stone and all of Voldy's sad attempts at maintaining his existence. In LG, we've seen the eternity sign associated with the scientific community involved in the Order, the question about aging on the HoO questionairre, and numerous other references to eternal life on earth.
The use of Blood: Remember Voldy needed Harry's blood for some wacky ritual at the end of book 4. Many of us think the Order wants Bree's blood and this is probably why they had her consuming a lot of protein/iron
The mole: Snape = Alex, nuff said
The orphan: Bree and Harry are both raised by an adopted family
Obviously, there are some major differences in the two stories as well. I'm not trying to say that LG is a total rip-off, it definitely has its own spin. By the same token, I'm not trying to insult Rowling's now classic stories by comparing them to YouTube videos.
Anyone else see comparisons in the Breenaverse / Potterverse? Or is it just me?
