There is something funny about perspective.

It seems kind LG15 posters that we were not the only ones curious about the HoO.

I found this on the Alester Crowley Society message boards and found it somewhat amusing.

LOL, I ran into that the other day when I googled Hymn of One. It's curious how so many people took it -- one person accused the test of being a tracking cookie, lol. Oh my. There are some thelemites running around this site though, so I don't think it's quite so scandalous, perhaps they're just shocked to see Aleister Crowley and Thelemic symbols involved over here.

Edit -- To be fair, I'd probably be like O_O "What the hell?" if I ran into a popular video series that, at first, seemed to sort of warp my religion.

Yeah that is true.
But they do act like they are scared of it, and like to make fun of it... now that they know more about it I mean...

There is a really interesting and kind of spooky blog that focuses on conspiracy theories, called Rigorous Intuition. They've mentioned LG15 three times, last October, again in December, and then in May.

Strange stuff.

I don't think they were taking it too serious. They seemed to be having fun with it. For some reason I just imagined the whole conversation taking place in a steam room at the country club. Just because of how well it seemed the posters knew each other.

That's not fear. That's despite.

Thelemites are good at despite.

oh, you forgot scorn!

I'm like a pariah because I actually *like* the series. Then again, I also like the Spice Girls, so anything that tickles my sense of Irony is Bob's Word to me.

"I scored 21%. I guess i'm out to. "

"25 here. I am sorely disappointed."

"40% here. what is this group about? its probably some kind of tracking cookie! "

Is the LG15 Hymn of One issuing out tests when you contact it? as anyone her taken the test? What do they ask?

The test was taken down as one of the gentlemen mentioned. It was an audition of sorts you can see it referenced in other threads.

On another note. We really don't need any negativity here, it was only posted for humor not as a platform to show your discontent; warrented or not.

Imagine this... Those people probably realise that their religion isn't one that gets alot of attention in the media. However it's big enough to have branches they have no idea that they exist.

I can really imagine the surprise and the questions if some website that looks like it's part of their religion suddenly starts recruiting people. It all must seem kind of personal. Imagine someone taking a main-stream religion changing it, but still use the same people as their 'heroes'. Imagine Jesus being the main prophet in a new religion. There would be questions all around. People would feel intimidated and even offended. I think it's a bit like that for them.

Ofcourse after finding out it's all fiction that might change a bit, however, they can still feel offended...

I did laugh about the 'scary youtube girl' message though :P

Six of one, half-dozen of the other. ;)
