I've just come across this series within the last 48 hours, so forgive for just bringing this up, but my original thought when watching the swimming video was that Cassie was an old love interest/crush that Daniel had, mainly due to daniel's denial and half smile when first asked about it. Though I do think its interesting that Bree turned the question back towards her, by saying she knew her from school. Either way I think that Daniel is hideing his knowedge of Cassie. Also if Cassie was the previous victim of the cerimony Bree was training for, wouldn't it be a rather big deal at the school that a kid had come up missing/dead?

I thought the same thing the first time I saw it. Of course Cassieiswatching changes that for me personally.

Bree is home schooled and sheltered, so she probably wouldn't have heard anything. Cassie was her only friend, and how many fifteen year olds follow the news?
