Live Journal issues

Live Journal, under pressure from advertisers by way of Warriors for Innocence (run by individuals with strong ties to a rather militant dominionist group) was attempting to remove pedophiles but also deleted many more journals and communities that were fandom related. They also deleted rape and incest survivor's journals, a discussion group for the novel Lolita and journals with the interests "gothic lolita" and "elegant gothic lolita" which is a style of dress popular in J-rock.

2 days later they are starting to finally attempt to make things right with the improperly deleted journals but seem to have also un-deleted ones that should have stayed deleted.

This is a major mishandling that all of LJ should know about, not just SPN, Heroes and HP fandoms and such. Many are leaving LJ or simply no longer paying for the accounts.

they have paid accounts as well

you get more features such as more icons. voice posts, polls, etc

you know what, back when I had a LJ account, I had a lot of problems with the programmers when I was pointing out glitches in their site. And trust me, there is a shit ton.
ANyways, by the end of it I just said "Screw it. I'm leaving. This site is going to end up imploding in the end anyways."

I hate that place sooo much.

Yea I didn't like LJ when I had it either. There are better blogging sites out there IMO.

As for what they did, well it sounds like they just wanted to get it done and over with quick and hushed up but instead screwed it up and now it will just be an issue even longer. Personally though, I'd never pay for a blog site but that is just me lol.
