Jess, tail docking is pretty bad..

but to declaw cats, they put their paws through a "kitty guillotine" and they remove the 1st digit of the paw..'cause fingernails will ALWAYS grow back. The only way to stop it is to cut off 1/3 of the paw. Imagine if someone did that to your fingers and toes?

Yeah...I used to work for a lady who kept her cat (Elvis) in the shop and he was sooo sweet and fairly old but they were moving into a new house so they had him declawed...from then on he usually just curled up in my lap and tucked his paws under his body as if he were trying to protect them...I felt so bad for him

Jess, yes.. It is outright abuse and should be outlawed here, just like in other countries.. as I mentioned before, I cried the first time I heard about it..

So, if I upset anyone, I apologize.. but all should be aware..

Your furniture is not worth kitty-cat torture. There are sprays that will protect your furniture by repelling your cat.
