Plus, if I were Jonas in that situation, I would possibly even feel a little anger towards my father.
Major betrayal.
But, there's a lot of "if's" in that paragraph.

A watching_watchers-certified POST WHORE!
It could work. I don't see any obvious problems with it.JustAnotherLonelyGirl. wrote:However, I like my theory that Bree's 'dad' may have been a double agent, and maybe secretly working with Jonas's dad. If that were the case, it would make sense that Jonas could have recognized him from long ago but couldn't quite put his finger on why.

Miles has even acknowledged that anyone should be able to see any vid that's uploaded (BD&J see all Op/Tach, and Op/Tach see all BD&J), and given all the attention that Bree and her exploits should have gotten (somebody dedicated a forum to her that continues to be maintained; she's got a semi-canon reporter stalking her; she's got an unidentified number of fans watching her; etc.), I'd think it would only be a matter of time before most anyone who watches tv or reads periodicals would come across it.
Of course he's not guaranteed to respond that way right at that moment, but if he went six years thinking his dad was dead and he suddenly showed up alive only to get gunned down a couple of minutes later, that's got to do something to you.Nieriel.Manwathiel wrote:Not if you're stunned. I don't think that's true in general from my own studies and experiences (there's more differences among the sexes than across them), but especially not in situations like this, and especially not with an introspective, open guy like Jonas.Nieriel.Manwathiel wrote:But guys ARE less inclined to spill their guts that girls (they aint usually wired with Motor Mouth Syndrome), so him not going into further detail is a pretty reasonable action.
I barely stumbled onto this... and this is a really good theory... Okay so... I have a lot of things running around in my head right now. And there are a few things that I thought were good ideas that I forgot in the midst of reading all the posts first. So..... here we go:
1)I think that the only way Jonas is possibly with the order is if he is with the anti-order like his dad. Kind of like he wants to protect Bree but not let her know exactly why he wants to until he has to prove himself, then he only wants to tell so much for fear of here catching on to him and then not trusting him for lying to her about it all along. ( Kind of like the Mandy Moore movie where she is the presidents daughter and the body guard guy that she has tagging along but doesn't find out until later that he is a body guard and not just a friend turned lover, sort of thing, sorry i couldn't remember the title)
2) I do think that Brees dad was really a good guy acting like a double agent. I think that this is truely a good possiblity.
3) What if Brees dad isn't really dead? They showed him getting shot, but they didn't stick around long enough to find out that he was dead and it isn't like the order actually gave her a call to let her know..... so could he still be alive and being held captive because they want her to think he is dead?
3) I don't think that Bree and Jonas have the same dad. I think Jonas would have had a bigger emotional reaction to finding out his dad was actually alive all of these years, only to see him really get killed. Besides it is a little far fetched to think that they are related like that. But I do think it is a possibility that he recognized Bree's dad from seeing him work with his dad when he was younger but just not realizing why at the specific moment....
4) He didn't go into the closet looking for that specific document. He went to find something that explained why the symbol was in his house not to find a paper stating that he wasn't with the order.
Okay that is all that I can think of right now, I think. Sorry I rambled soo much. Guess all those ideas that I thought I had forgotten came back to me
Anyways sorry for writing a mini book but I hope someone out there feels the same way I do

Well I haven't posted on here in ages but it's about time I start up again! Okay so this video was pretty good but slightly boring, especially since almost 2 days had passed and thats all that had happened? Either way, the acting was a lot better but Bree's apology could have been more sincere for sure! "I'm sorry, okay" is what you say when you just want to be forgiven and moven on, which granted, is what Bree wants. But then again, it's not going to get her very far...especially after seeing Jonas' smoldering look!...rawr

Absolutely. I know that when I've been completely startled about seeing something/someone I didn't expect to, it has taken me a few minutes for my brain to adjust, and to acknowledge that yes, I'm really seeing what I'm seeing.Lurker wrote:Of course he's not guaranteed to respond that way right at that moment, but if he went six years thinking his dad was dead and he suddenly showed up alive only to get gunned down a couple of minutes later, that's got to do something to you.Nieriel.Manwathiel wrote:Not if you're stunned. I would think if he found out his dad was linked to Bree, expecially because we KNOW there's something Jonas isn't telling, he won't immediantly say "No, silly; that guy's MY dad!" He'd just go "Oh sweet merciful god I hope there's been a mistake..."
Like on 9/11, when the newscasters said that the first tower was falling, I clearly remember thinking, "Oh, no -- that's not possible. The newscaster must be mistaken." Even though it was right there on the tv screen in front of me.
If Jonas has thought for six years that his dad is dead, then on seeing him alive, he won't necessarily squeal, "But that's my dad!" It might very well take a full minute or more for his brain to put all the pieces together. "That couldn't be him. So it's not him. But it looks exactly like him. But he's dead, so it couldn't be him. But this guy moves exactly like him, and sounds exactly like him. But it couldn't be him, because he's dead." Etc. All taking place within the space of several seconds.
The same process would apply to any shock of recognition, but might take more or less time, depending on how shocking the recognition was. So Jonas could have recognized Bree's dad as a double agent -- or the guy who his dad played cards with every Friday night, or his babysitter's dad, or whoever -- without immediately yelling, "Hey, that's [fill in the blank]."
oh... ummm good job then!EternalConfusion wrote:Hey!! He didn't come up with it! I did!jeezy wrote:This is a really good theory... I never thought of this... Actually, images of attractive men bound and/or angry do get me going. However, when it comes to the real thing, I'm pretty tame. I wouldn't do anything for me to actually act out something like that.
More information than you needed to know, huh, lass?

BTW, I think you are really funny, lass.

The questions about the chances Bree and Jonas, an Order-victim and an Order-fighter (or almost) would meet doesn't exist imo.
Bree said that The Order's everywhere. hence many people are connected, everyone knows about it (evereyone but us, obviously).
