ETA: I noticed someone else brought this up previously in the thread already as well.

No kidding! Just as soon as we start thinking we can really trust him, he better not prove us wrong!kristin wrote: And I really hope Jonas' calls were innocent, I don't want him to be a bad guy now.

JK (I hope no one was offended, just a joke)
Yeah I think they definitely are aware we are watching Jonas and Daniel and how they interact. But at the same time I would never offer to "lend a hand" to a buddy and I'm sure they wouldn't offer to lend one to me and I'm pretty secure when it comes to that kind of thing.Kasdeja wrote:lmao, I think any comments like that are there on purpose because they think it's a joke that so many go on the "so and so is flirting with so and so" tangent anytime they have a normal 'buddy' or 'friend' chemistry going.
It is certainly a screwed up view of free will, but in the strictest sense of speaking, it is her choice. I guess that's good enough for the Order.
there are plenty of other lakes in various mountain areas in california with snow. arrowhead and big bear being the first two that come to mind, since everything else is filmed in the greater smelLA area.theresascraps wrote:Oh yeah it is Lake tahoe, they have been getting a lot of snow. Plus, why show the lake at the end unless the want us to know?

Interesting thought...was thinking Daniel would be more like Angel (including the darker alter-ego side...) and Jonas would be Xander...kinda seems to really care for her, but realizes that Daniel/Angel really has her heart! And Tach?...that'd be Giles: The one who's been through all of this and now will train the newbie.immortal1 wrote:I've actually been thinking for a long time this series is being modelled after Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Not saying exactly but similar, at least the functions the characters are fulfilling.
Bree=Buffy (pre-TV when she was just learning her role)
Daniel=Xander
Tachyon=Faith
Jonas=Willow?
I am, too. Butl...let's not forget that the actors WERE in San Fransisco on Saturday.anyways, i'm doubtful on tahoe.
I started a thread in Plot discussion about Free will and the order based on these ideas I think it gives us a new look into the order and how they thinkbethy wrote:It is certainly a screwed up view of free will, but in the strictest sense of speaking, it is her choice. It's only her choice in so much that she has to make it herself. It doesn't matter that OpA is hounding her to make their preferred decision.
But it's like a mother give her the choice between scrubbing the toilet or being grounded for a month. Noeith option is particulalrly appealing...but Mom still says, "It's your choice...." with the eyebrow raised.
Bree's has choices...but the choices are still controlled by an outside influence. That's not free will. Free will is the ability to make any choice you want, free of outside influences. Now...don't get the freedom to choose confused with the freedom from consequence. A lot of people do that...they think I can do A, and nothing will happen to me because I'm free to choose that. That's a common, and yet incorrect assumption. As a general rule, we cannot control the consequences of our actions. Remember Newton's Third Law.
However, in the "mom" example...there is no choice, really...you are given a command and a consequence if disobedience. Mom "spins" it as a choice for manipulation...but it's not true free will.
That's how I'm seeing this situation with Bree. If she were trule free to make her own choices...Opa wouldn't have kidnapped Daniel in order to manipulate her decision. They wouldn't be hounding her and scaring her. They've given her a command, and she is being disobedient...not the same a free will.
