You've pinpointed a large part of my problem: my GF doesn't like any of that stuff. No candles, no baths, no romantic restaurants. If I bring her flowers, she just says, "They're going to die." So I brought her a flowering plant once. She didn't water it and it died.

Hm. Maybe, since she spent 20 years in the military hanging out with almost all guys, she would get turned on by the kinds of things that turn guys on. So I should ask: what turns guys on (other than sexy underwear, which she doesn't like on either of us)?

Really it's just a matter of learning what she does like. What she doesn't like is a step in that direction, but you'll get no where with out knowing what she does like.
