*nodders!*

My parents are avid readers. Nothing was off topic for a bed time story. Yeah I still read alot of the kid books, but those where me reading to them. They read me real stories. Mostly because my mom believes that a child should not be treated any different then an adult cognitavly. She never dumed down anything for me, if I asked a question she answered if I wasn an adult. If the answer posed more questions she answered those.

I was blessed with a totaly awsome hippy mom! :)

Oh and LonelyElendi,

I hope you WILL get a chance to read my book. I write about how borderline personality lacks validity as a diagnostic entity, and how the underlying components of it are neurological in nature.

It's also a fun book to read. Really. I make research fun!

I myself am on quite a coctail of meds to help me cope with my life. I have sensory integration disorder, ADD and Asperger's.. but not BPD.

Like you, I believe these are all gifts. I've been moderately disabled by my complex condition. However, it has given me a great gift. Like you, my verbal skills are in the high 130's.

However, other aspects/tests are in the moderately MR range. It's the "wide range of skill levels," that makes Asperger's or Autism. It's just a little deeper on the continuum than ADD, but it is on the same spectrum.

Thanks for sharing and I hope all goes well for you..

I'll also share that I'm taking provigil as of today for my concentration/memory problems. I have NO problems doing what I love. It's with everything else that I get bored and cannot track what's going on!!

What is your book called?

Borderline and Beyond
Expanded 2007 Edition

applies to BPD/ASD

Borderline Personality Disorder/Autism Spectrum Disorder

Check it out:

http://www.laurapaxton.com/borderline.html

I synthesized over 100 research articles to illustrate how similar BPD is to ASD. I even have a chart.

Thanks for your interest!
