Kenny, perhaps if you were to have her joke about how she wishes it was that easy to get him to do housework, instead of the repetitive asking to the point of nagging...
omg Ziola.. ok, tell me the truth. Are you drinking.. taking drugs??? A MAN do HOUSEWORK??!!...

That is why I'm with a younger man. Not only did I train him to do housework, he also cooks dinner 4 nights a week because I am at work. Oh, and did I mention he works 50+ hours a week?

Aw... I'm so happy for you, hon, that is WONDERFUL!

hehe.. now, Ed is 15 years older than me.. yes, I know it's a lot but it works for me!... while mundane things are a battle.. for both of us, lol!... he manages the business and builds new ones.. with my help. We enjoy that.. and it works!

Kenny.. the bottom line is.. it's simple to write a satire about either sex. We all have our shortcomings. It's a lot harder to write the truth.. about people that work hard.. struggle.. and find small pleasures in simple things in life - like a kiss when you're both exhausted and pass each other.. but must stop. for love.

How true. Perhaps that should be my next challenge, writing a script about a couple that tries hard and gets by. Hmm...

You'd have to do a lot more interviews, I'm thinking.. and Ziola seems an excellent place to start!

....Or you ^^

I think I could do it. The conflict would come through in the day to day happenings. More realistic, really. In real life, huge things don't happen every day. It is the little things that would really drive the story. Like say for example, the husband starts getting off work later and later. Also, his sexual interest in the wife begins to wane a little. Is he cheating, or is there something else going on?

hmmm.. a thought, Kenny...

rather than use your imagination to write about stereotypes.. why not conjure up a new person.. who you give ideals, morals, belief system, everything to.. and go from there?

I'd like to try that soon (basically, what you are talking about is writing a long script, which I am not sure I am ready for, I want to do a few more shorts and try to get the hang of that before I tackle the much larger job of a full play)

hmm.. as long as, before you begin writing, you have the person outlined in your head.. she can be made to do anything in a short story.. you're talented enough to be able to outline her basic character in a few words, no?

Possibly. It is something to consider, and I will definitely try it...I think I need to observe women in their natural habitat...to The Ladies meeting room thread place!
