Ooo...someone else suggested he might be the bad guy... this is interesting. What if he had feelings for Cassie a year or two ago, and she didn't return them or hurt him, and he did away with her, and now the pattern's repeating. Interesting train of thought...

I am starting to hate daniel. If he could understand that Bree's Religon is very Important to her he would make her cutt of the party she is haveing. Its her religon, and her life. She should do what ever she wants.

Ummmm, I think he is just being a normal teenager, and is angry and frustrated that he was stood up (especially by video).
But anything is possible I guess!

What baffles me is supposedly Daniel is there for Bree (from a previous vblog where she mentions that P. Monkey "helps her out whenever Daniel can't")...so if they are so close, why hasn't she shared more about her religion with him?

maybe she has and that's why he thinks it's so weird and bad for her and we don't?

Daniel does seem to know alot about her religion (after all, he's gone to the religious camp with her on several occasions).

I think the only thing he doesn't know about is the ceremony, mostly because Bree doesn't seem to know anything about it.

that's why he seemed to be concerned about her in the driving video, because she's doing this ritual and she doesn't even know why.

I think part of the anger/frustration could also be attributed to the fact that Bree is so "sheltered" and so involved with a religion that Daniel doesn't understand and that she might not either. Not to mention that what he does know he thinks is creepy..........

I think he knows a little about her religion, he said before that he'd been to the camp with her, and this last time they asked him to "come back". So I'm betting that the "robes" remark was literal.

So some of you guys are talking about there being "peer pressure" from Daniel to shy away from her [Bree's] religious beliefs. Well, what if she has indeed known about both events (the dinner and the equinox) for a while and as it came down to it, was forced or had some sort of "peer pressure" from her parents or someone else in her religion (or perhaps someone else participating in the ceremony?). Maybe it's not truly her fault or Daniel's fault.

I'm still not sure how much pressure her parents are relaying onto her. Do they really know so much about the ceremony? Yeah, her dad is doing the bibliomancy. And obviously they know some about the ultra secret ceremony because it's "a great honor".

Basically, I don't think Daniel is a drama queen nor do I think it's totally Bree's fault for cancelling and crushing Daniel's heart. At least this time.

Does anyone think that maybe Bree's been sneaking out other times that Daniel doesn't know about? She says she's been "sneaking out a lot" in the Equinox video, but then Daniel seems pretty incredulous that she considers sneaking out twice to be a lot.

You know, that's something I was thinking about, too. I'm glad you brought this up.

When I was 16 I would have thought twice was alot.

Yeah, I'm one of the people who never ever snuck out of their house.

Actually upon reflection, didn't she sneak out three times in a week and a half? (1. Party, 2. bowling, 3. driving). Two of those times she was under house arrest. That would seem like kind of a big deal to me. And maybe she has snuck out with Daniel other times that we haven't "seen."

I have to say that I kind of understand why Daniel is so ticked. If he was planning a "special" dinner, he was likely going to cook, so he had to plan a meal, and he likely bought everything already, he had to find a place for them to be alone, and if he doesn't cook very often, he was probably pretty nervous and excited.

I was thinking about it, and his reaction seems like maybe he and Bree had discussed the timing already and she maybe acted like the equinox was no big deal, then all of a sudden she comes out with "oh its so important to me I can't miss it." Because as many people have mentioned here, it is obvious she knew that the equinox was this weekend for quite awhile.

I was digging on this theory a lot last night, and the idea that maybe it was Cassie. I was talking to Blackburne today, though, and realized that were that the case, if it WERE Cassie, then that wouldn't fly very easily, really, because the Cassie/Daniel timeline would overlap too much with the Bree/Daniel timeline to make it work, really, without some break in the Bree/Daniel timeline.

My thought, anyway.
