I don't think the B-D relationship will ever die... it's one of the main driving themes of the series. Maybe she doesn't know anything. Maybe she just had a thing for mysterious crimes. Or thought the death of Jonas's parents was a little too strange and started researching other mysterious disappearances/deaths around that time to find a link.
