I think we do ourselve a disservice when we ignore the 'non-canon' productions. True, some of them are completely unrelated but others have been very good at not only adding to the story, but giving us their version of 'clues' that may, in fact, be right on the money. I'm almost certain there are some things going on at the bottom of this forum that we should be paying attention to - I'll let you decide.

Thank you for saying this, trainer.

I posted a question so hopefully I can get you the background on the Culper Ring...but yes, it's the agency that Tachyon and Brother are part of...sort of the Anti-Order.
Thank you, Kasdeja. I'll put it in a search also.

Yes, but it seems to be based on a fictional organization of the same name, which was in turn based on a real organization of the same name.
The Culper Ring was General George Washington's special covert operations group during the American Revolution. Their job was specifically to spy on British operations in New York City, and then report on troop manuevers.
In Brian K. Vaughn's comic, Y: The Last Man, the Culper Ring continued to operate even after the American Revolution (they remained the special spy unit for the US Presidents). Tachyon has made reference to Y: The Last Man before, and LG15 itself bears some thematic and plot similarities to Runaways (another of Vaughn's creations, which Tachyon has also referenced), so it seems to be that when Tachyon's group was called "the Ring" it meant "the Culper Ring."

OK, so from what I gather, this Culper Ring was a spy agency during the Revolutionary War.
Oh, and Josh admits to spying against the US.

I had a little conversation with Bree about the Culper Ring back around Christmas. You can read it

Ah, Lurker, thanks! I knew someone who could explain it correctly would come alone, lol.
And...I always thought I couldn't trust that Brit, Josh...

I need to read before I post...lol.
thanks for the info, Lurker. It seems that vague references have been made to it, and that the Tachyon fans have embraced it. Count me in too.

Really though, we should set that up, or make Bree do it, or whatever.

I didn't mean it to sound unfair, Kasdeja. I read your response. I do understand the concern for newbies, but I feel like I have to put tape over my mouth sometimes when I want to say something about the fanfic vids that I think could apply here.
I think Trainer has some really good advice. Perhaps we should take a visit down to the lower part of the screen now and then and check it out. If Trainer says we may be missing things, then I trust that.

I'm down there all the time

Just from past experience, it gets less hairy and confusing when we stick to clues from the canon vids.

I know many have explained it but sphinx posted this link also about the Culper ring.
