Actually, it is quite common for eye color to change at puberty. Blue eyes become green, hazel, yellow and sometimes even brown.

Brown eyes become yellow or hazel, but never blue.

How do you think that might relate to the plot?
YES! I was thinking before that teenage girls sometimes have their eye colour change. But I wasn't sure so I just mentioned babehs ^^

-shudder-

Ooo, don't say that! This is like listening to ghost stories in the dark, I keep expecting someone to scream or something

Finally some answers! Yes! What could make them change at puberty that they wouldn't want those other girls? All I can think of is PMS...okay I'll stop with that idea.

I think the eye-changing-colour idea is good. I'm going to go research what changes happen in usual puberty to see if anything else comes up.

But I stand by my idea that the Order might have a different meaning to puberty

Can someone tell me in certain terms if babies eyes are all the same colour at birth and change later? because I'm googling and turning up nothing

wouldn't that be sort of strange if that was one of the qualifying factors?

the girls who are ceremony worthy DO NOT get their periods

and the girls who aren't do.

i duno just a strange thought that popped into my head.

Yes. Here's something that might be important - Changes in eye color reflect changes in body chemistry. Perhaps one of the things the order is looking for is a specific biochemical profile?

I'm not sure this pertains, but since we were talking about it I thought I'd put in my two cents worth.

Information about eye color changes is fairly obscure. There is very little medical research done on it, although observant doctors are aware of it. It seems unlikely to me that the creators would work this into the plot since it is such an unknown area. I suppose it's possible they may be familiar with it given the fact one of them was going to school to be a doctor, but it seems like a stretch to me.

Ew, why wouldn't she get her period? I've never heard of a woman just NOT getting a period.. is she missing her uterus or something?

And btw, babies aren't all born with the same eye color. I don't know where you heard that, but babies are born seeing upside down. This is adjusted very quickly though.

Anyway, I only thought of the eye thing because of Gemma's creepy blue eyes. A while ago, a thread in the plot discussion was about her eyes. One person said that in some cultures, 'blue' eyes are considered 'bad' and 'brown' eyes are considered 'good' so, keeping that in mind, Bree might be the one eligible based on her eye color. A stretch, but whatever. Maybe brown eyes means that someone is pure or intelligent. I think those traits have a lot to do with this too.

bree's making me mad, she's being such a jerk, especially to daniel, if the creators are trying to make us hate her, it's working, at least on my end, i'm getting to the point where i don't care what happens to her bc i don't even like her, daniel is the only reason left to watch

I can't belive this thread only has five pages. I mean, usually when a video gives us THIS much info, there's like twenty.

A lot of things can cause periods not to start. Diet, iron levels, stress, and other factors can make a girl not get a period.
