So.. This afternoon Panda, Luv and I were talking about the Pea Soup Drop in the #operationaphid chat. Panda mentioned how, when she called the restaurant to see if the grounds were accessible, the woman on the other end of the phone thought she was a little crazy. Later on, Ladron ended up running into the restaurant manager while he was poking around the building.

I brought up the idea of perhaps telling the person on the other end of the line that you were on a scavenger hunt, instead of saying either nothing at all, or trying to explain Op to them. It's less likely that they'll think you're trying to break in, or vandalize the property, and there'll be less unfortunate run-ins with management or security.

I second belle's suggestion wholeheartedly. Bonus points: telling people you're on a scavenger hunt makes them think you're cute and harmless. :D

I think the whole restaurant manager thing was a fluke. The drops seem to be timed to where businesses won't be open or disturbed. It was just a fluke that I left right away and tore ass down the highway to get there. If I would have gotten there 20 min later would have never been a problem.
