Forevermourn, are you sure your answer for "Y" is right? I mean.. J says 12, not 6..?

Crapola.
Ok, when I put a 4 in, this is how the number looks
Y = (h-i)/j = (21-4)/6 = 2.83333333 (Sub 3 for 4)
Y = (h-i)/j = (42-4)/6= 6.33333333 (Sub 3 for 4, and 21 for 42)
Y =(h-i)/j = (40-4)/6 = 6 (Sub 3 for 4, and 42 for 40)
Forgot about the J=12.
Y = (h-i)/j = (21-4)/12 = 1.41666667 (Sub 3 for 4, and 6 for 12)
Y = (h-i)/j = (42 - 4) / 12 = 3.16666667(Sub 3 for 4, and 21 for 42, 6/12)
Y =(h-i)/j = (40 - 4) / 12 = 3 (Sub 3 for 4, and 42 for 40, 6/12)

Ziola's right. The first mention of Add It Up plus the background vocals =25. Plus however many are in the foreground (lead singer is saying on top of the background) which I can't really make out but is at least two. I dunno if it's 30 but it's at least 27.

Is it safe to assume that Y should be 3, X should be 1 and that Z should end in 0?

I counted 25 by tapping a . on the keyboard for each Add It Up (counting Gordon Gano's lead overlapping with the backing vocals as 1 mention since it drowns out the backing vox on those).
So for Add It Up I got 25.

I had to listen to it 2 times. Once just for the background vocals and once for the lead singer. And the times that they were almost in synch with each other I counted separately, thats how I got 30.
And I did it the "old-school" way, pen marks on paper
