Hmm...how do we know that she wasn't playing that song...and Jonas didn't add it? I don't see how a that song connects this to Clockwork Orange at all. It wasn't in the book or movie. Beethoven is a pretty popular guy, even in movies. Any connections to this song are one thing, but just because it's by the same guy that wrote that song in that movie...not so much.

I wrote:That reminds me. Some of us have noticed quite a few similarities between LG15 and stuff written by Brian K. Vaughan. Specifically "Y: The Last Man" and "Runaways."

I'm about to give away an important part of the first "Runaways" arc, so if you don't want to know, don't look:

One of the main characters in "Runaways" is named "Alex." He turns out to have been loyal all along to the Order-like organization (The Pride) which his and the other kids' parents run.
Considering the Op references to this comic, I would put my money on THIS reason for her name.
Yeah, I forgot about Op's references. Nice catch.

I only skimmed through the whole "Clockwork" thing, but I think it started with something about the William Tell Overture, and progressed from there.

To be honest, the only thing that matters to me about this composition whether or not it is:

1) It is foreshadowing (which it most certainly is).
2) It is Daniel's trigger (great possibility it is).

longlostposter I brought up A Clockwork Orange because of the name Alex. I always figured Alex in A Clockwork Orange was a refrence to A Lex.
I took the whole Clockwork Orange thing too far, and will leave it now. :P:)

The A Lex thing is interesting, too.

Definitely, 'Free Will' has been in the story since the Aleister Crowley picture

I don't think you did. The A Lex thing is quite interesting. I was a little miffed when BK merged the topic with another one, and it kinda got buried and forgotten there.

Perhaps it was a CD (that Alex played to trigger Daniel), and Daniel helped edit the vid, and the song is now swirling around in his brainwashed mind, so he added it to the vid?
Watching it again, I don't hear the music begin until Jonas and Daniel have left and are talking (1:23, where Jonas is sitting on the short fence). At what point did you hear it before that?

Eh?

The longer this story goes, the less credible any 'trigger' theory seems to me.

I am positive there will be a trigger at some time. I mean, Op had Daniel for over a week, and "spin arting". No way that spin art was a recreational activity that Op thought Daniel might enjoy.

There is one thing, though. Daniel said he didn't remember anything until the flash/bang in "Human Ransom". Would that erase any mind-controlling that had been done? I doubt it, though it's a possibility.

ETA: Sami, I was positive it was you who started a thread on it, but I guess I was wrong.

This has nothing to do with anything important, but I do my college newspaper's crossword every day in my classes and one of the answers today was Fur Elise and I knew it because of LG15!

Well this is all very interesting, and quite educational. I have something here to show you. Its some spin art I have been working on. Wait don't look yet let me put on some Beethoven on so you can get the full effect.
