Older than dirt (#7 on this phorum version), and just as cranky. There are many others who were on the phorum 1.0 (including Hye, Milo, Nora, Terryfic, etc.) even longer than I was.
Too bad you guys missed the original phorum, it was a little more intimate and a lot more cerebral. No moderators back then, Miles was a little over his head with that. You should appreciate all of Todd's hard work here, he does a fine job!
Anyway, times change. LG may have it's faults, but it is never boring!
Have fun

Who had ever said that we do not appreciate TW's work around here? He does
more than just a fine job! I know I could never be able to do what he's been able to do day in and day out.
The original phorum may have been more intimate and more cerebral. You make it sound like most of us shouldn't be here. But while we do have a few trolls around here, it adds to the atmosphere, if you ask me. (Though I do realize that no is...

)
The forums, as they are seem to be a great place to be, and I'm not just saying that from a personal viewpoint. More than a few people seem to be throughly able to enjoy themselves, here.
Just because someone might have been relatively new to the LG15 forums, that doesn't mean that they were a total noob to forums, in general.
Personally... I find it refreshing that these forums have a varied personality than to always be serious.
I don't know what my number would have been, but that doesn't really matter. I'm having the time of my life, here! And I hope others are/will, too!

Perhaps you have misinterpreted my post as being pejorative, it was not meant to be at all...
I doubt you could argue that the noise/signal ratio is not pretty high at times,
C'est la Vie. My intent was
not to start a flame war, so please relax.
As for Todd, I completely agree with you

. He does an outstanding job!
Again, have fun all

kageyuki gets my vote for most defensive/ most paraniod superlative.
(btw, back in the day, I was voted most likely to go to jail)
I don't think there's that many people who are unfamiliar with me...except for Opaphid people. I don't know when I joined, but I lurked for a while right after CIW started and I was afraid to officially join because I thought I thought there were hackers here and I'd get one of those phonecalls...or Cassie would come to my window at night.

Spaciegirl is a phorum legend, par excellence. She had the cojones to come back after a self-imposed exile, out of the wilderness as it were. I assume a lot of personal time with her key was needed to heal some wounds... The Phorum can be a rough place, especially when they are no new vids!
Perhaps she saw the (had a ?) Burning Bush and is back to lead the Phorum Phaithful to find the elusive Cassie...
I digress.

Shucks Spaciegirl. Every conversation turns to you. (I imagine you're grinning about that.) I have lurked around since the end of August and signed upat the end of September.
I find that this forum changes depending on who is involved. I have never really posted in this section because I am no good with small talk. I go on and on and on. I tend to post in spurts (when I have a day off or my family's out or something).
I like when there is a diverse group of people (that is people of varying ages, walks of life, etc.) who are open to each other. It tends to give everyone a chance to share their ideas without flamewars or bickering.
I remember Spaciegirl (who doesn't?) I remember Nora (so smart & funny) and twj when he was making his videos to Bree and Daniel. I remember Terryfic and Hyemew, too. I adore curiousGeorge. I am not sure if they remember me, though. I, of course, remember Josh (who has matured lately --for the most part, it seems.)
I'm not new to lg15, but I'm not an old-time fan either. I remember when I thought CassieisWatching was an official spin-off. Then I remember not liking it so much.
See what I mean about going on and on.
Well, it's my turn to use the shower before we are off to a party. Happy New Year all!

I lurked the old phorum for a while, and still remember the very detailed conversation that was had about flora and fauna in California after the hiking video. I was impressed AND intimidated.
