My pc has been REALLY screwed up and I've been trying to fix it ALL day long. It gave me a migraine, but now I'm well medicated

I'm making some progress on my pc now. I want to install a new printer, but first I have to fix what's made my pc freeze up so often. YUCK! but I'm making progress now.
What kind of computer do both of you have? Mine is Gateway.

Kari... It just needed optimizing and cleaning out of old files and registry repair and that sort of thing. I'm in the middle of doing it now. At first, I could do nothing because of lock-ups. I'm using another pc at my house for this. This pc is fine, but I want to hook the new printer up to the other one.

I CAN fix the problem, it's just that I started working on it at 9 am this a.m. and it's not done yet..

Right now, I'm deleting like 14 folders full of pictures, so that will take a while!
Next, I'll delete videos and then run the optimizer again. By then, I should be able to install the printer software.
Have either of you ever had a problem quite like this? The other pc is 5 yrs old and the one I'm on now is a year old.

Now THAT was the absolute sweetest thing ANYBODY has said to me in a long time..
but I will say that I do think you are also very creative and you have lots of cool ideas.
