it can be fun, but it's very cold. and a bit wet when you fall down. but will you like going to the snow?

tropical seems good when you're not in it. spent a bit of time in hawaii ( also military) and didn't love it. it was hard to be that far away. what branch?

air force is the best as far as families are concerned. but wichita? didn't even know that was an option. air force also sucks when you are trying to make rank. is that why he got out? were you in?

My hubby was in. I was just the little wifey..He was medically discharged in 05 for allergy induced asthma

one of my favorite moments in my marriage was when my hubby called me his navy wife at the canadian border. i still tease him to this day. sucks for the discharge, but life is better on the "outside" or so i hear. *wishes she wasn't stuck in washington yet again*

Yeah..I am somewhat glad he got out. He was getting ready to get sent to Iraq. Not trying to sound selfish, but I am glad he didnt have to go.

i have been at home for a couple of iraq deployments and the pretty much suck. the navy is pretty safe of course, but we got no money for per diem, 15 miniutes on the phone and dh got pretty peeved at the sandstorms..these days they send 'em to afghanistan. a whole lot different

Yeah.. I have a friend whos hubby was in Kandahar, and he was attacked by a suicide bomber, killed him and left her with two little boys... I couldnt imagine....I would freak!!!
