Well now that we're in the know...

YAY Z!!! Sorry about the crap preparation time. Just remember (and this might be difficult) that it's SUPPOSED to be the happiest day of your life. Not the most stressful. :D

Now SPILL, girl. Colors, flowers, dress...most important--CAKE!! I need to live out my wedding dreams vicariously through you. ;)

Colors will probably be a deep blue (my fav) and a deep green (his fav).

I have no idea about flowers...I might not carry a bouquet, since I'm going to have my dad and my son walk me down the aisle. Probably something simple for the bridesmaids...any suggestions?

And we totally luck out when it comes to the cake. The baker at Jay's work is a total goddess and she will do the cake for us for free. 2 years ago, she made the cake for an anniversary party I planned and it was wonderful! A 3 tier lemon creme and she totally matched the colors from the table runners I made.

And I think I'm going to make my dress, so that I get exactly what I want. I'm very petite and finding things in my size is a total bitch. Well, that and I'm super picky   For obvious reasons, I'm not wearing white, but I'm thinking a pretty grey/silver underneath with an overlay/train of deep blue lace. How's that sound?

*disinfects Kas' phone*

Yes Ziola, remember! HAPPIEST day not STRESSIEST!

so do your best not to stress too much and do not forget that... in the end and after the whole shebang... you'll be with the love of your life. :D

on the other hand, you'll also be able to relieve alot of stress on the honeymoon night

Sounds beautiful! Hmm....you could always have the bridesmaids carry a single flower (whatever you decide for "flower theme"--I see a lot of women go for white roses 'cuz they go with everything, heh. :D) with a couple of deep blue/deep green ribbons twined around it. I've never understood why people pay so much just for flowers---not to be morbid or anything, but don't they, erm, DIE? :D
And we totally luck out when it comes to the cake. Lucky you!! It's handy to know a baker, huh? Mmmm, my favorite is lemon, too. Hmm, I might just have to crash your wedding! :D I love sitting down with brides to plan their wedding cakes at work--who doesn't love to discuss food? :D
And I think I'm going to make my dress, so that I get exactly what I want. I'm very petite and finding things in my size is a total bitch. Well, that and I'm super picky
Wow, go you! I'd never have enough patience to make my own dress. One wrong stitch and I'd be like, eh, screw this. You'll have to post pictures throughout the process.
For obvious reasons, I'm not wearing white
:smt044 Hmm, I could never guess what those reasons would be! :D
but I'm thinking a pretty grey/silver underneath with an overlay/train of deep blue lace. How's that sound?
That sounds amazing!! I've always been a fan of not wearing white--I was watching a What Not To Wear wedding special the other day and one of the women had this absolutely georgeous 40's glamour looking gown in champagne. Oh, I covet that dress. I'd wear that shit around the house!

I think the color combo sounds lovely!! You're quite ambitious to be making the dress yourself, especially if it's got a train and everything. Ahh! You must be so excited!!

Um, yeah. It won't be much of a challenge. Jay's getting his vasectomy next week and then there's pretty much no sex until he shows that it worked. We don't want to take any chances  Between that, his work schedule and our 2 kids, we don't plan on any crazy lovemaking anytime soon.

Maybe you should think of another challenge?

One should always lean towards the classic when it comes to making choices of wedding colors, dresses and flowers:
