Ahhh...just got on and watched, haven't read all 5,000 pages...but she mentioned our old friend Cassie!

Also, at the beginning where she's talking to Daniel, a weird edit that seemed to sloppy to not be there on purpose...

So the return of Cassie! Blah! I've been out of it for the past few days...sick with strep...I've missed a lot, but after all this reading and reading the wikipedia on everything, I must say, I AM VERY HAPPY. lol.

So Cassie returns...this definately shows that Cassie and Bree are seperate people. At first bree told us that Cassie got scared of her religion and then she stopped calling her---but here we see that Cassie made prank calls with Bree and THEN Bree stopped seeing HER. She says she hasn't seen her since.

So was cassie taken by the order, as we previously thought? Cassie and Bree are definately seperate people---no skitzophrenic disorder--and it seems more like Bree ended their relationship than Cassie did.

The code-- was brilliant-- a message from Bree's dad. I hope someone posted that in the Bree chat forum! She really needs to send him a message back!

Well--off to catch up some more!

I like how she talked about the 'prank calls' Cassie made...and how those were much like the odd phone calls and videos that made us love Cassie.

Maybe this explaination of Cassie and Bree making prank calls were a way to say that CiW was always a game, and was never real? Its the Creators way of saying, yeah that was fun...but it was just a game..nothing important...so stop talking about it.

True...but then there's Oppy mentioning cassie back in the beginning. Ah well.

I still think there's something up with that weird edit. She's talking to daniel and it just cuts off what she's saying...they don't usually edit that roughly. Ahhhh...things to obsess over...

I don't think that oppy mentioning Cassie in the beginning is anythign to be concerned about. That happened before OpAphid was cannon, and before they had any inside information. She was probably just interacting with other fan fiction, kwim?

After a good night's sleep, I still feel the same as I did last night about this mention. The Creators want their character back? Fine. Take it back. But you've already distanced yourselves from CiW. Why bring your Cassie up in a way that some of the CiW fans might find insulting? Just continue to ignore the whole CiW thing and go on like it never happened. There was just no reason for them to mention Cassie in a way that parallels the CiW Cassie, unless they're planning on canonizing CiW's Cassie in some way.

There have been examples of its existence, but very, very few have been thoroughly documented. It is one of the most mysterious mental disorders. I'm a psych nerd too. It is impossible, from a scientific viewpoint, for Cassie to be Brees "alterego." Those diagnosed with multiple personality disorder switch between personas, but their personas do not interact. Bree has said she walked around the track with Cassie. I suppose she may be schitzophrenic (which is a completely different story, though often confused with multiple personality), but, unless the creators plan to make up an essentially nonexistent mental illness (much like they have with 'the Order'), I'd say that Cassie and Bree are two separate people. A better question is whether Cassie exists or not. Though I think she did, and something must have happened to her. Hmm.

The Bree=Cassie "plot twist" would be the most way teh lame thing that the creators could do. Seriously. It's the most overused cliche in the fiction business, especially when authors can't figure out what else to do with a character. Ran out of ideas? Wrote yourself into a corner? Hey, give someone multiple personality disorder! Woo-hoo! Vomit.

I also think Cassie was/is a real person. I don't think I'm buying "itscassie" as canon fodder (hee) though. But I love whoever's doing that--it's totally campy, and what a great bad wig! It's hilarious!
