On a personal note, I'm really bummed about the last couple weeks of videos. Our initial plan was really ambitious, probably too ambitious. It involved a lot of videos, interactivity, and puzzles. We had an actor drop out at the last minute and a series of technical snafus. We had to do a ton of last second re-writes and re-edits. That in a addition to a couple other problems destroyed what was supposed to be a very entertaining and interactive couple weeks. Oh well, we learn and move forward.

I think you can only help matters by being honest like this. I learned a little bit about this first hand from trying to put together a series for some of the "other girls." There is a philosophy that when starting a new venture if you surround yourself with the people who are the best at what they do, you will be successful. That's not always possible, especially in this town where you have all kinds of people telling you how good they are or how good someone else is. When these kind of problems arise though it really drives home the fact that a chain is only as strong as it's weakest link. My advice is this, it is a different medium, the amount of people working in it successfully is small but I'd see if I could bring some of those people in before I'd look at people who are in film or TV and hope and wait they adapt and adjust. More importantly people who understand and have a passion for the medium(and not just because they tell you they do.)

Also don't be afraid to use the fanbase as a resource be it street teaming or whatever. I think something we can take out of the recent new girl craziness is that when you motivate, mobilize or generally just point people in the right direction, they'll pick up the challenge.

 I think Jules/Julie 'dropped out'! She stopped making videos, and so far all communication from her is on Myspace (which could be done by anyone). Which leads me to a question...How can she be saved by bree?

ETA: I am not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I since I am referring to something Miles wrote here I thought I'd take a chance. If I was bad, feel free to let me know.

Miles, thanks for stepping in and saying something. It makes a difference for you guys to take the time occasionally to let us know what's going on when things are going on...and it's really very, VERY much appreciated!!

I see no reason to kick these guys when they are down. We're still here (well not here  ) but there is a cadre of your oldest phans still hanging in there with you.

Please take some time to get this thing together again. I wish I had a more helpful suggestion, but I don't know how you can salvage this thing at this point without going back to your core "bedroom" values, goals, and idealism. You know what I mean...

Good luck gentlemen.

Thanks, Miles. I'm sorry to hear that things have been chaotic, but I'm glad that the boring videos haven't been a result of the wind leaving your sails. Glad you still have the passion and the drive.
