I love those walmart versions of crystal light! I don't get the water bottle ones, but the ones you make a pitcher with. I can't tell the difference. And, 'mute, Splenda tastes pretty good. I don't like most diet things because the aspartame or whatever aftertastes gets me.

Everyone I know who drinks diet sodas has short-term memory issues... Might not be scientific, but it's enough for me to avoid doing the things they do...

That sounds like they're not getting enough lecithin, which has nothing to do with aspartame intake. If they don't eat eggs, they can take tablets. It not only helps with memory, but also the nervous system, and... well... something else.

I agree... The aftertaste, on top of my aforementioned concerns that AP disputes ... But I use Splenda in place of sugar for most things these days :) Some of the diet sodas that are made with it are at least drinkable ;) My bigger problem is with caffeine, though. My at-rest heart rate was 99... Seemed a bit high to me, so I did a drastic cutback on it... I haven't eliminated it completely yet, but it's not like I still drink coffee every single day...

Coffee is the only caffeine I still drink. I only have 2 or so cups a day. It's safe, fertility wise, to drink 1-2 cups a day I was told...so I try and limit it to that for the most part. I've been good and drinking my water, lately...and Sprite on occasion.

coffee is okay....but its still caffeine...and even if you just drink 2 cups a day, it will soon CONTROL YOU....go a few days without it and see how you feel.

2 cups is perfectly acceptable according to my doctor. I've cut down considerably already. I'll cut a lot out of my life to be healthy, but I actually enjoy coffee and refuse to do more than cut down my intake of it, lol. What's the use of being healthy if everything sucks, lol

Fertility concerns was what caused me to stop drinking coffee the first time. But when we gave up and decided to be happy regardless, I started drinking about a pot a day, until I finally quit again... I drink tea more often than coffee these days, and I don't even have it every single day, either...

Actually, for you caffeine would be o.k. fertility wise...the woman shouldn't...should be more relaxed but a man...well, ya know...

Oh, and I always try out sugar free things...just because if it tastes just a good, then why not. I've found that sugar free jello tastes good, russell stover pecan clusters and jolly ranchers are tasty and you can't even tell.

My wife heard "less caffeine" and that was that  But I'm healthier for it, anyhow :)

Yeah, I feel better since cutting down and pretty well cutting all other caffeine out...except chocolate...but I do limit my chocolate. I'm exploring the world of sugar free candy since I'm using candy to help with my quitting smoking, lol. I'm delighted about the Jolly Ranchers.
