Yeah, Bree's 17 now (as of Oct. 26), but Jonas is actually 19 (according to his YouTube profile), which still isn't much of a difference. Daniel's the one who is 18 (and Bree's true love! <.<).iamcool wrote:in the story, bree is 17 .... and i think jonas is 18avian_firefly wrote:well if Bree is supposed to be 16 Jonas is a bit too old IMO. Should there be a love triangle?

hmmm...
maybe...some ppl are reluclent to think that.
If this is myffic
If this saga continues on it's myffic path, with Daniel out slaying dragons for his girl one hopes he'll be rewarded with a modern version of true love. Since the course of said love can never run smooth Jonas might make a fine diversion (in every sense of fine). But I personally am rooting for Danny.
Re: Should there be a love triangle?
Hmm. Your responses seem to indicate something went wrong with what I was attempting to communicate. I hope you understand this is why I'm not going to respond point by point. It would be pointless. Just to be clear: I didn't mean to suggest that Bree didn't like Jonas, just that I didn't see a whole lot of evidence that she was interested in him romantically (yet).EternalGoddess wrote:
My answers
1. She wouldn't come out of her room for awhile.
~Her best friend just abandoned her, not to mention everythign else that was going on.
2. Doesn't like his cooking. (Who can blame her really. Almond shavings? What if they were the undomesticated kind that break down into toxic cyanide gas?)
~At first she didn't eat, but after a while she slowly started tt eat more. She mainly stayed in her room and cried
3. She went to bed early extremely bored of his "missing person's" factoid.
~She's been cooped up in a house with nothing to do. Do you really think she's going to be facanated by his factoid? Come on.
4. She didn't really want his help skateboarding. "Think I'm going to do this myself."
~She said that, but then she turned around and asked him how does she get started. Not to mention the look she was giving him after she asked. In the video they both were pretty much flirting with each other.
5. She left him to play on his skateboard so she could talk to Daniel.
~That doesn't mean she's not interested. Even if she does like Jonas, when new information comes up she's going to get her butt up and answer Daniel's question, because they are still not completely safe. She can't ignore her other responcibilites.
6. She then reiterated that she liked the differances between her and Daniels style of thinking.
~So? I like the differances between me and my friend's thinking, that doesn't mean I'm in love with any of them.
So, if you think about it none of these listed really gives evidence that she doesn't like him.
I was also trying to communicate that I don't see the flirting people have been talking about. You talk about it like it's an obvious fact, but again I haven't seen any examples, descriptions, or support for it. Bree and Jonas have had one video together interacting, and in it Bree made a couple of remarks that were on the snarky side to Jonas and about Jonas. There's one moment I can maaaaybe see as being flirty, but it was so awkwardly done it was painful to watch. Instead of seeing it as flirtation, I chalked that moment up to a weak moment of acting and/or editing. It was the whole segment leading up to and including the part where she asked, "how do you start." It was girly stupid, and I don't want to think about it any more. Miss Rose, the actress, is waay better than that, and if by small chance she's not ..the editors are waaay better than that.
Don't get me wrong, I love the Jonas character. But, I think he can be so much more than apart of a teen love triangle. It doesn't feel right, it's to quick, and cheapens Bree. I'm not opposed to Jonas having a love interest, but what's so interesting about two people who are alike hooking-up? I want sparks.. I want balance...I want opposing forces and conflict...I want dynamics and growth...a little chaos...I want a tag your it...a chase.
Cooped up or not, how am I suppose to recognize or get excited about a Bree and Jonas hook-up when even Bree walks out of the room bored? Maybe, it's just me, but when I'm interested in a guy, I'm 'compelled' to stick around long enough to find some way to connect.
