I don't think anyone has mentioned this yet in the thread

In the video Gemma says OpAphid is an acronym that stands for Acknowledge, Position, Help, Initiate, Dialogue. From what I understand of OpAphid which isn’t very much “Op” stands for Operation. But according the LGpidia the ARG people say the A is for Analysis, P for Protect and H for Hinder, I and D were still unknown, does this mean that the ARG people were wrong, all that hard work for nothing? LOL

I've never seen any of those hand signals in Boy Scouts for the person who asked. I was never an actual boy scout, being a girl  but I am a leader, and I've never come across that.

Maybe "remote" is one of Bree's signal words to make her more compliant? One of those mind controll things?

Gemma: "Go outside and get some fresh air! The Order can't seem to locate you, and we need you to be more visible!"

No, the explanation is actually in Gemma's vid. There is one acronym taught to the children and another for the 'operatives'.

related to the "always missing remote control" in the motel rooms perhaps??

What A, P, and H stand for have all been confirmed by OpAphid.
As in Analysis, Protect, and Hinder.

Gemma's accent is really hanging me up. Here's the thing. The actress who plays her, Jackie, IS BRITISH! So you'd think that her accent/dialect/choice of words would be RIGHT ON.

There is something to this, folks. I just can't figure out what.

She's giving a totally false acronym for aphid along with hand signals. Bree also used hand signals a coupla vids ago.
If the theory is correct that Gemma is sending secret messages to Bree, this might be one.

so true

I have wasted so much of my life watching deal or no deal already and it's only been on a year, and don't even mention neighbours. Seriously though all these britisms are sounding really forced, I mean we get the picture she's british (if she is going to mention anything it should be I'm A Celebrity, that's the main programme people are talking about at the moment).

And yes Little Britain is shit of the highest order, the kind of thing your parents say they like so they can feel all cool and counter-culture, when everyone who is under 40 does in fact realise it is poop. Thank god Gemma dislikes it and I can hate her a little bit less

REALLY? SHE'S BRITISH?!?

I have never heard anyone speak like that here ever. To be honest I though her accent had got a lot better recently, but if she is actually british that's freaky, her accent was terrible the first few weeks!

Anyway about the video.....

There must be something to these hand signals. They can't drop massive clue like thingies like that and expect us not too see them as clues, right? And yet more mention of OpAphid to satisfy followers of the ARG that I need to get into...

Seriously though, surely something should happen with Gemma, something intresting? Some interaction with the order? Even an external video would be a nice change (if she actually is here in England). That room she sits in drives me mad, it looks like a hotel lobby or something.

We need a reason to look forward to her videos, because at the moment all we're getting is a crappy clue or snippet of info backed up by a whole load of inane I'm a brit-babble

oh and she calls the chips shes convinced me :?

but i see shes trying to get bree outside  shes evil i tell yee EVIL!!

i still think shes useless to the storyling though

She has never said she is English. Didn't you hear the part about South Africa?

She's not useful to the storyline eh? If she hadn't told Bree about the Watcher, what do you think would have happened?

By the way, someone probably said this already, but Gemma suggesting that Bree "go outside and get some fresh air" sounds kinda suspicious. I'm not one to think of Gemma as evil, but it did seem weird.

hmmm...

Just an idea... :-k
but what if Gemma is only saying she's in England and is trying to use what she believes to be the lingo to sound like she is there (which seems to be getting under the skin of some our British friends). Perhaps we're supposed to notice what our (peeved) English associates are noticing.

Maybe she is trying to seem far away, so Bree (or Daniel or the Order) do not see her as a close threat (or concerned friend for that matter).

hmmm...:-k

Why does Gemma's suggestion to "Go outside and get some fresh air" sound so threatening? :?

Because she'll have the Order kill them if they don't.

I know I'm always playing devil's advocate for Gemma, but in this case I really feel the need to do so. I agree with Smelltheflowers. It doesn't sound threatening at all. If anything, it's good advice.

Last time Daniel and Bree were in a motel room, how many times did they let the two of them come and go from the room without interference? On at least one occasion, they were lounging by the pool. On another occasion, Bree went out to the pool as part of one of her videos (the one where the guy in the suit could be seen walking around in the background).

In another video, we had Daniel returning to the room after going somewhere (my guess would be to get some new magazines to look at since he'd resorted to reading the standard issue motel Bible). In yet another video, we had Daniel going to the supermarket.

I mean, seriously, it's not like them going outside has been all that dangerous for them up to now, even with the Order knowing where they were (assuming the guys in suits were Watchers). Why is it suddenly the breaking of the Seven Seals when Gemma suggests it?

Smelltheflowers asked:

Well, probably because Gemma's seen Bree and Daniel's video in which they were fleeing from the Watcher (about whom Gemma originally warned them). I guess some of us conspiracy-minded folk think that Bree and Daniel should be hiding inside away from the view of the Order /.\ . It seems like bad advice, but Gemma doesn't strike me as being naive or dim-witted. Therefore, it seems like she wants them to let down their guard.

*edit to add: Holy Toledo! I guess if you ask a question, you get a pretty quick answer around here.

Good one, Lurker. I love good points that are also hilariously sarcastic!
